Urgent Warning about this debt collection agency.
Do not give credit card of debit card details out to this company. As explained in previous communications they recently had a "corporate invasion" where details were removed from their databases. From reading another comment about this company, they used to be called NCO Financial Services, which is correct. They used to be based out of London, until all operations where evenually moved to Preston, and Solihull. My contact at this company has also stated to me that they have some sort of offices in Shrewsbury as well. This company has also aquired Complete Credit Management which was part of a Water Utility company, so becareful, they now have access to names and addresses connected to this utility company, which they could use to track persons down. I don't know the limitations of the Data Protection Act concerning this, but if NCO have anything to do with it, they will use every means possible. Becareful the Trading Standards are investigating this company and all the rest of their companies which operate under the same Consumer Credit Licence. This is a very bad company, monitor your Credit File with Experian and Equifax. Their is also one more credit company to monitor, which is a credit reference agency, a company called CallCredit. Check with all 3 credit reference agencies and monitor what NCO are registering on your credit file. If the debt is not vaild, complain to the data protection reqistrar, and let them contact NCO to prove the debt is valid. Always contact the Trading Standards, Office of fair Trading, FSA etc. As well as NCO Financial, becareful that the debt is not passed to Capquest Debt Recovery, Abbey/Santander use this Debt company as well. Always fight and you will win. Good luck.
A Serious warning about the Debt Collection Company. Do not provide this company with any Visa or Mastercard details. This company has had a "Corporate Invasion" into its payments systems where the vast majority of all Debit Card and Credit Card numbers have been removed from their computer files. Do Not give these details out. Ask NCO for payment Giro Slips to make payment. Always photocopy payment slips and keep all records of any such payments made to NCO Europe Limited. Another tactic used by this dishonest company is "Re-Aging" Debts. They will pinball the debt around to various Debt Companies,so the debt appears always up-to-date and "fresh". Monitor your credit file with Experian and Exquifax to make sure they are not doing this tactic to you. They tried it to me before the Credit Company Experian stopped them. This tactic is used to prevent you obtaining further credit and applying severe damage to your credit file, so in theory you have no choice to honour them. Do not be frightened, stand up to this company and make a stand, and you will win. It has taken me 8 years of hard work, and continued work to stop this cowboy, improfessional credit company. Please note that "Re-aging Debts" in illegal and the company can loose their Consumer Credit Licence. Contact Trading Standards in all cases.
My story isn't quite as bad as some have about this company, however I feel it needs to be told. I have been paying off a bank loan via NCO Financial Services for the last 7 1/2 years, and it got to the stage where I thought the debt should have been paid. I rang their phone number, which got me through to NCO Europe. I spoke to a very abrupt woman called Karen, explaining that I had records of payments since 2005, all going to NCO Financial Services, and the details of the bank account that the payments were being made too. Karen told me that their system had no record of me, or any payments I had made. After much arguing Karen got her Manager to talk to me. He claimed that aswell as having no record of me, their company didn't deal with the bank that I originally had the loan with, and that he had never heard of NCO Financial Services, and that NCO Europe were nothing to do with them.
Feeling very frustrated, I rang the FSA, and spoke to a very helpful young Lady, who told me that all companys of this sort need to have a Consumer Credit Licence from the Office of Fair Trading, and the Register is available on line. So I had a look at the register, and looked up NCO Europe, and found out that NCO Europe were also registered to trade under the name NCO Financial Services, as well as many aliases.
I then rang Consumers Direct Helpline (part of the Office of Fair Trading), who suggested talking to CCCS (Consumer Credit Councelling Services), which I did. They suggested three options. Firstly, contact the bank that I was originally dealing with, to get the details of any debt collection agencys they use, secondly contact NCO Europe, via recorded mail, and finally contact the Financial Ombudsman.
I decided on a fourth option, go on the offensive! I rang NCO Europe once again, and spoke to a Gentleman called Graham, who at first couldn't find my details. He also mentioned that they were NCO Europe, not NCO Financial Services, to which I responded "Really, because according to the Consumer Credit Licence Register, you are the same company. And since I have nearly 5 years worth of bank statements saying that I'm making payments to your company, I suggest you look harder, or I will be forced to contact the Financial Ombudsman about this matter!"
Strangely enough, my records appeared on their system, and the good news was that I have only one more payment to make, and then I am debt free.
The moral of this story is, there are a number of agencys out there who will help you to catch out cowboys like this, notably the FSA, Office of Fair Trading and CCCS. And sometimes you have to play them at their own game, and you will get the results you're after.
Another Warning about this debt collection company:This company uses false names on certain letters/postcards which they send out. This method of using false representation of company officials is used to prevent debtors from tracking company agents down. I personally have checked the relevent "Voters Roll" in certains areas where this company operates. They currently operate out of Shirley, Birmingham, and Preston. False names are given out for the reason of protecting their company officials, and when information and letters are sent, they are pointless, because they cannot say that these so called agents work their. It gives NCO another excuse. Always send letters Recorded Delivery, Never telephone, and keep all correspondence from this company which are compulsive liers and cowards. Please do not pay any money to this company. I refused to give my VISA Card Numbers to this company, and told them it is up to them to provide me with the means to pay them. Do not pay via Western Union, the money will end up in FCA's bank account. 2 years ago I tried to pay via "The Money Shop" which operate a Western Union Franchise. Western Union informed me that their facility was no longer correctly in place. Becareful, this company will also add interest on without you knowing, so you are forever paying them. You will find that this is not legal in alot of circumstances. Becareful of Cindi Coward, this person is a lier, cheat, and a minipulating woman. She is based out of their Shirley Offices. Emma Gregory, Jason Ward, Mr Hammond, Rob Kelley (Preston), always becareful of these ruthless individuals. They are all liers. They play mind games to confuse situations. Always record telephone conversations, if possible. If not please note down the time and date you contacted them, and write brief notes on the important points of the conversation(s). Always fax off or E-Mail. But always send copies of correspondence via Recorded Delivery as well. Then you have the proof that it has been sent. I always sent correspondence via Fax and Post (Recorded Delivery), and especially if you E-Mail. Anybody got any comments, please contact me, I have alot more true stories. Thank you. (Trading Standards are aware of this company and its subsidary companies which operate under the same Consumer Credit Licence).
A Warning about this above Debt Collection Company. Please do not acknowledge this company, do not make payment agreements over the telephone. You will find that the "On-Screen" notes will portray different context to what has been discussed. Their so-called notes make out that you have been unreasonable. When I threatened this cowboy company with OFTEL, they stopped the telephone calls. Recently I contacted this company, and spoke to a operator. I was on my mobile phone which has a recording facility on it. When the operator started to be of a threatening nature I told the operator I was recording this telephone call, at this point she (the operator) got very angry and told me that she is terminating the call. NCO only like situations where they have complete control. The likes of Jason Ward, and the invisable Mr Edwards, or even Mr Green and Mr Hammond who don't exist, only in NCO's heads. I have written letters to this company officals over the past 8 years, and I have never received any responses. Perhaps Mr Rob Kelly, (I have been told that this man does exist) based out of their Preston Office should Sectioned under the Mental Health Act, for the simple reason of making ficticious charaters to meet their company needs. I know this because a colleague of mine worked at the NCO offices in Preston, and he has told me that even their Solicitors, Leatham-Locke, based in London with a PO Box Number, are actually in Preston in the same office complex. This is how over the past few years I have been able to play NCO at their own game. Even a gentleman called Mr Jackson, going back to 2002 and 2003, has never ever responded to me. I have kept all Recorded Delivery Letters and faxes and telephone calls which have been noted, and the Trading Standards have all the correspondence connected with me. Please becareful, this company is very sly, cowardly, and use the "tiger-tone" over the telephone to ensure fear.
Debt Collection Agency:This company also purchase debts, and debts from the past. Always ask them to produce proof they own the debt before you pay any money to them. The local Trading Standards will produce a letter or the local Citizens Advice will forward letter(s) to them. Always get professional advice.Never ever feel threatened by this cowardly company. Never give you credit card or debit card details out to this company. Never pay cash to them, it will end up in one of their other company bank accounts such as FCA, or RMA. They will then say that you have never paid them, and then they will request more money of you. Never set up a direct debit, a lady called Cindi Coward will cancel a direct debit, and then send you a letter, or better still will ring you up like she did me threatening me. When they cancelled my direct debit some 2 years ago, a member of my Bank told me and even printed me the direct debits which were active and non-active. It also gave a list of reasons for cancellation of direct debit, and one in particular was "Cancellation by Recipient". NCO cancel Direct Debits which gives them the ammunition to instigate court proceedings to you. Becareful, they are very crafty, and sly to the point of cowardice. Persons to becareful of are Mr Jason Ward, Ms Cindi Coward, Ms D Patel, Ms G Ward, Ms Bailey (I don't think this person exists), Ms Emma Gregory. These people are based out of their Shirley office in Birmingham. If you look on the internet, in America this company has just been fined by the Federal Government for breaching every law in the book. This company needs to be held accountable for its behaviour, and I am making it one of my missions in life to make sure they will be brought before the courts in this country in a legal manor.
Concerning NCO Europe Limited., This company operates out of Shirley in Birmingham as well as Preston. Do not give Debit or Credit Card numbers out to this company. This company also does not send out giro credit slips enabling you to pay at the bank/post office. NCO lost £100.00 of my money over 2 years ago and they still have not sent any confirmation that they have it, even when they say they have not got it. I provided them with a photocopy of the giro slip, as well as the date stamp from the bank. since then I have never paid them a penny, and the matter is being dealt with by the Trading Standards. This debt collection agency is a very nasty, sly company whose whole objective is to cause fear and malice where ever it goes.Beware of this company, never give personal details out, or even confirm person details over the phone. This company then passes the debt to other debt collection companies including Robinson Way and Company in Manchester. NCO Europe also has other companies in its portfolio, so please becareful. If in doubt seek advice from Trading Standards and the Citizen Advice. If you receive any postcards from this company stating that somebody is going to call, do not call them. 90% of the time the persons name on the postcard never exists. Even letters have a false name of them. This company has a farely high turnaround of staff working for it, so if you speak to people, the week or month after that person won't be working their and you will have to keep repeating yourselves to new telephone operatives. Do not telephone, always put letters in writing, take a photocopy of all documents, and always send via Royal Mail Recorded Delivery, and keep the Recorded Delivery Number.
This company is far more deceptive than others, I have being dealing with them for nearly 8 Years. They say I still owe money, but the Abbey/Santander say I do not. I have some real stories to tell concerning this company.
