In reply to "david Gummer " could you not of thought up a better name than that to use as a false testemonial david gummer being the name of an ex BT boss at bt customer street .
Contentys.com check the whois !! it's owned by the same people as Ufindus.com, Customerstreet.com and Locallinkup.com !!! read the reviews and ask why is the number on contetys.com a Manchester one!!
You refer to Iomart, Ufindus and various other trading names related to a previous organisation operated by the directors of Contentys.
I worked for Iomart prior to the ufindus brand being established, and still have friends there to this day. You make comments about the structure of this company, and it's quite clear that you don't know what you are talking about, so here are the facts - and they are undisputed.
Iomart Internet Ltd was a subsidiary of Iomart PLC, and were the innovators of leading edge web technology, perhaps the most innovative at the time. They sold a range of products, from sales offices throughout England and Scotland, and were highly successful, both in assisting companies in the generation of business, as well as building their own business. Ufindus cam later, and then customer street later still, which was eventually sold to BT for somewhere in the region of £20 million.
You refer to the sales people as being fraudsters, and I take that as a personal insult, since I was one of them - and a very successful one at that. I ask you this, if, as you suggested, there was any element of fraudulent or unethical trading, then BT would have uncovered this during their due diligence processes when they were buying that company - which, incidentally, was separated by this time from Iomart PLC, who still trade today - and would not have gone ahead with the purchase.
People like you seem intent on nothing more than ruining the reputations of companies, and individuals, with no real end result for you - you make no mention of any of the many thousands of satisfied customers, which BT were happy to pay money to gain, as well as inheriting the services provisioned to these companies.
I enjoyed a good working relationship with both directors you refer to of contentys, when I worked for them at Iomart. They operated an honest, transparent business model, and treated staff as well as can be expected in this industry, and paid us way over the level expected of such a position - the result was happy staff, selling leading edge products, to businesses who benefited hugely from these services, yet you recognise none of that!
Personally, I wish the directors of contentys the very best of luck - I am certain contentys will be as big a success as Iomart Internet / ufindus / customer street - and other companies they built up and sold prior to this.
Perhaps when you have managed to sell your business for £20 million then you can start to criticise the manner in which others built their business to that level - and that will probably be never!
Contentys really are a fantastic company. They took care of my online advertising needs. This was a steal at £99. I don't know what the poster means above. It seems to me that they have something about the aforementioned people above.
If you want a good site designed within your budget they I would highly recommend Contentys.
thought id give them a chance to see if they had changed and unfortunately not... poorly built website made from a standard stock template. no customer support to speak to, just have to email off to them... that was 4 days ago... £99 wasted..
The Directors of this company are the same men that set up the illustrious Ufindus.com, then later Customerstreet.com and along with a manipulative and often borderline fraudulent tele sales team dragged the Iomart, Easyspace, Internetters and their own brands through the mud.
DO NOT BE FOOLED by a fresh company name and persona, as sooner or later they will end up exactly the same.
They have even set up their new "Contentys" office in the same building that ufindus.com started in!
Be very careful with your credit card details. If you do decide to give them your details make sure you insist that they are NOT STORED and properly disposed of and they have a nasty habit of keeping hold of them.
All this said, as a new company they could have turned over a new leaf and it will be interesting to see what comments end up on here regarding services and promises made by Contentys.
It would be nice to think that a leopard could eventually change its spots....... but the evidence that it can't is quite substantial.
