Comments:

Despite my notice saying no leaflets, sales, papers etc. Guess what came through my door again?

Yep, Avon book.

So I called after the rep and asked them to take it back. Will collect it as stated on book was shouted back!!!

Fine, so I put it through my shredder, back in the bag and put it outside for the next few days, should look more like paper mache if it rains.

It clearly says on my door no sales magazines and in pen I wrote 'avon' included. So I have no sympathy for ignorance. Maybe they will take the hint. I suggest to anyone pestered by these leaflets to do the same and they will listen, as it will cost them money to ignore.

It is their choice to continue to put them through though, hee hee.

My comment was a fair one about my experience with avon. Where have I come accross a moaner by mentioning a couple of companies who let me down. I am sure I will happily post positive comments later for those companies who deserve it.

I judge each comment on its merits and dont personally mock a person for what is after all their opinion. It could be also said a person new to blagger who just posts personal remarks against people commenting on certain compainies has issues also. But of course I wouldnt lower myself to put what I really think of that, its not worth it.

donaldmason27. With all due respect your only two comments so far are giving personal views on posters and how they are just making a big deal out of their blag.

You refer to its just like a free paper etc. These notes given by the police on the door alongside in my case requesting no free papers seems to work for the free paper. They dont put it through the door and respect my request.

Avon and such companies ignore my request which indicates ignorance as their only interest is sales. If they dont want confrontations such as james69, then maybe they should respect the housholder, simples.

Please also respect the views of other posters, you can post a positive comment to a company you want to defend without showing ignorance in giving an unwanted personal view of something or poster in which you are not qualified. You appear to just like to moan about posters.

I agree with Payroll. Avon are a very friendly and useful company. All you have to do is leave the book outside if you don't want it. It's no different to getting a letter or a free TV guide in your newspaper.

I highly recommend them! James69 seems to be one of those people who moan about anything and everything!!!

I am sure there are positve and negative views of any company. Is it necessary to advise another poster to in a matter of words, get a life.

I find not only leaflets and catalogues such as avon annoying, but down right invasive.

Alright we can stick them outside as requested, but I dont want to. I am in an area which the police have liased it as a no cold calling area, we still get the avon leaflets.

I when answering the door, tell them I have put it in the waste and the rep in that case was furious. Hey we have rights to be annoyed by waste.

Only trying to make a living was the response from the rep, fair enough, but where it is welcomed.

I agree that the attitude of this company is not a friendly one to people who dont want to be bothered. You are made to feel an inconvinience.
For future reference if you need to contact customer services for anything, as in my case, faulty lippy, its a battle. I gave up.

I now dont buy from my friend who is also an agent, she has stopped working for them as feels they dont even respond to her.

So shes a lovely agent also but doesnt like AVON and left.

Sounds like a great company?

Avon are a great company and the rep i deal with (my friend) loves working for them , James in all honesty your being a bit of a wimp, dont worry about it-its just a magazine - leave it on the doorstep and forget about it being there - and then go and live your life, looking at your posts you seem to get quite upset about certain things - my advice is.. learn to shrugg it off and forget about it, not everything is such a big deal if you live like this lol.

Update again. Told by avon as their representative is self employed they are not able to do anything.

I would recomend to anyone getting an avon catalogue through the door, to stick it in the bin, they seem not to care unless getting their dosh it seems. Customer service is a non starter.

I would also suggest they wouldnt have to do much training of their reps to turn them into doorstep collectors or dca's heavies, this one was enough to intimidate anyone owing money. Imagine trying to cancel an order with her, growl....

Any how I will just bin leaflets in future xxx less hastle.

Update to previous comment. Rang avon trying to make a complaint, kept telling me I needed to speak to another dept, who didnt pick up. Decided to put experience on here and sent them an email telling them where they could find it. Giving them a chance to respond to me and let me know what they are doing about this woman.

Got an email stating blagger is not part of avon, well excuse me but I think we know that. They also stated that if I had a problem with blagger I had to take it up with them.

Oh dear.

So they obviously havnt read my email properly, havnt even bothered to look here and again you cant get through over the phone.

Would anyone really want to order from this company, what if you had a problem with purchase, you cant make a complaint.

You would think that they would be concerned of someone trying to help being abused for not wanting a catalogue. Are sales that bad at the moment?

Remember the old image of ding dong avon lady calling and the smile. Remember some of them are monsters or thats my experience.

Came to my door and put brochure through. I saw from upstairs and to save her time I popped down and asked her to politely take it back. She argued was I not even going to take a look and I once again politely stated I do not buy or sell at the door, as in the door sticker states this. I said please dont put them through as the dog bites them and another company moaned when came to pick up brochure to find it chewed. I as a result put sticker up and she got abusive and said well I am not selling at the door.

HHm isnt that what avon brochures are doing, selling through the door step. She made me aware she was angry and was almost as a horse biting at the bit, but left after grabbing it back and silently mouthing obscenities.

Safe to say she was angry. But forgive me I was polite trying to save her time and she was abusive and created a different ding dong than given to expect by the friendly adverts of the past.

I have put mk6 as this is the area today she was putting them through. i would if dont want the risk of abuse from people after all invading our private space and time, avoid like the plague. I shop with avon through a friend accross the city, would I want to use this woman, no tah, Id rather use boots put me off avon.

Avon, please find out who this is and make her respect the notices on peoples door or I will do as a friend suggested, next time throw in the bin.
