My first experience of using this company, and it will certainly be my last. I ordered some bathroom furniture from Better Bathrooms who use only this delivery company.
Got a call on Thursday to arrange delivery and was told that it will arrive between 10am and 3pm on Friday. I arranged for someone to be there all day during that time only to get a phone call from the delivery driver at 4:30pm saying he was near the property but couldn't find it. I gave him directions saying he had to go to the other side of the road, and he replied, "God, you're joking? Tell you what, let's leave this till Monday." Not seeing any sense in this given that he was pretty much there, I asked why. He said because he's filthy, dirty and wants to go home. Not the way to talk to a customer.
I asked for his company's name - Palletways. I asked how to spell it, and he started giving a negative tone and then said he can't spell it because he's dyslexic. Sensing the sarcasm, I hung up and called Frederick Miller's head office (which Palletways is part of). I spoke to several people, all of whom seemed uninterested in what had happened, and didn't wish to resolve my complaint at all, especially after I said I wish to cancel my order and my delivery. I eventually spoke to the Transport Manager who called himself the big boss and he accused me of lying and said that the driver had said I was abusive to him and he believed him because he's a young lad and had never been complained about before. I was absolutely astonished that such a business could even exist if this is how they treat their customers.
This is one company I would advise anyone to avoid at all costs. Their operations are lacklustre and they treat their customers like enemies. Big thumbs down!
