i got well an truely shafted by this lot, tulip, all started last year i was called by tulip, ofered a deal to take a moblie fone contract,ok i wanted that but they keep phoning my house number offering me a free gift, well guess what the free gift was a moblie contract fone £30 per month,i callled them as sone as i recived it they refuse to acept it back, saying its now mine,so i packed both phones in boxes and sent them back to tulip.two days later.someone from tulip called me again telling me there was a mistake on there behalf,if i would take my phone back they would cancell the other contract,so i did.now as i stand i have 3 contacts with 3 through tulip, and are blacklisted for not paying for 2 contracts i didnt want.today i have stopped the direct debit for the last phone after seing my credit report.

I had a tulip contract between may 2006 and may 2007.
I am still waiting for my last cashback after 17 months.
I have been paid for the other 2 payments.
I have tried email - no reply; letters - no replys; & phone calls - always say it be come in 10 to 15 days but it never does.

NEVER DEAL WITH TULIP.

Hi There

I am working on a new consumer affairs show and i am investigating "cashback" telephone schemes. They often seem to leave many consumers unhappy and wondered if I could talk to any of you about what happened in your cases. You don't have to appear on TV, i just want to get some case stories so we can actually prove these companies are ripping off the public. There seems to be quite a few complaints about a few companies, and I would like to feature them and highlight them to the public.

Do email us below or call, and hpefully we can show people what is going on.

Best Wishes

Hi
I too have had a hell of a wait trying to get money from these blaggers. But I have managed to do so. I kept writing to 3 (but to no avail) any way it's amazing when you get your Member of Parliament involved. I wrote to 3's Chief executive and copied my MP onto it and sent a detailed account of my dealings with 3 and Tulip UK to may MP; and within a couple of days I got a phone call from the chief execs office promising to look into the matter and within 10 days I got the money that was owed to my. If you write to your MPs - tell them that Nigel Evans, MP for Ribble Valley has also dealt with this matter. Good luck.

Hello again, just to let you know i have just recieved an out of court settlement of £265 from Tulip. If you want the money they rightfully owe you the small money claims court is the only way to go. good luck people.

 robbo83 at 21st Apr 2007, 03:31PM
Hi people, I have been trying now since last year to obtain my cashback from tulip but obviously with no joy!! I have now took it to the small claims courts which is done online (https://www.moneyclaim.gov.uk/csmco2/index.jsp) This service only costs £30 which you get back if you win your claim. As long as you have evidence e.g. recorded delivery reciepts, phone bills etc, you should easily win! Please everyone if this company is refusing to pay you or you feel they are continuously fobbing you off with quotes like "you will receive it in 10 - 11 weeks blah blah blah" stop wasting you money phoning them and sue them in court. It is the only option available and probably cheaper than all the phone calls you make put together! (I left a thread in july '06 - scroll down the page to read the problems ive had off them.) AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS AND CHANGE YOUR BANK DETAILS IF YOU WANT TO BE TOTALLY SECURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Beware this company also sells mobiles under the following names:
London Mobile
British Mobile
Mobile Club 7
Sanity Mobile
Synergy Corp

 ramb1 at 26th Oct 2006, 03:44PM

 pink51 at 19th Oct 2006, 10:53PM

 pink51 at 19th Oct 2006, 10:46PM
Are Just3g still trading? I have tried to phone them and everytime I choose an option it sends me back to the main menu. The website is still down (it was down in July the last time I checked). I have emailed but have had no reply. I have also sent my statements by special delivery (costing me £4.10) and Royal Mail say that there was no-one there to take delivery of them. Anyone else been able to get hold of them?

 milomoo at 19th Oct 2006, 04:24PM
Doesn't seem like the ideal company. I was sent 2 phones, unsolicited, and when I phoned to tell them I was told to send them back at my expense (£25). Their return time has also been dropped to 7 days.At present they seem to be Sapphire. I have sent a letter telling them to pick up the phones. Lets see what happens.

 mollytor at 15th Oct 2006, 08:17PM
Everything you reed about this company is true. I got called with a great £3 per month offer. in stead of £3 it was around £35 then when I called they said they would give me my money back after 6 months, 6 months came no refund when I called they said they needed my original paper work. I asked if I could have a copy they said no. when I found the copy and sent it through they said I missed the cut off. I refused to pay anymore and it resulted in me getting a default on my credit which in turn resulted in me not being able to purchase my first home last month. I am now forced to pay rent and wait until my rating improves.

When I called 3GUK and explained, they said that if I paid in full £151 they would remove any defaults on my credit rating. i have paid and to date they have not done so and I have been told that this will effect my rating for the next 6 years,

not only did I loose my money, spend hours trying to fix this, I have now permanently effected my credit score,

STAY WELL AWAY FROM TULIP AND 3GUK,

I would just like to say that i have bought a phone through this company and never had any problems with getting my cash back or any customer service issues. Ok my cash back was 3 or 4 weeks after i sent my claim in but i can understand this, the amount they have to do it must take them ages. I would recomend them as i got a contract phone on 3 network and got 9 months for free! Bargin!

I purchased a mobile via telephone from this company. (Luckily, not the cashback offer). They delivered on the FOURTH occasion insisting each time the phone was going to be delivered on a certain day - it never turned up. It took them 7 days to deliver it. They then lied and said that they tried to deliver it but no one was in. That was NOT the case. In the meantime they had activated the contract. As they took 7 days to deliver, it meeant that I had only 7 days left to identify any faults and therefore return the phone as they had a 14 day cooling period. On the 14th day, I found that the phone had two technical faults (even though the phone still worked). Also, the battery was repeatedly running low - daily, even though it was meant to be a brand new mobile. I called Tulip and they unhelpfully said that they could do nothing about it as I was outside the 14 cooling period and to call my mobile service provider or buy a battery yourself. This is a scam. They obviously ensure a certain amount of time elapses before they send the mobile to you so you do not have time to return it if there are any faults. Do not do business with this company. They have a London address but it is a call centre in India. I am now stuck with a phone that 3 Mobile will not replace and I will have to "live with the technical problems". Tulip should not be trading. I do not know why no one is doing anything about it. 3 Mobile certainly will not as you get tied into a contract with them for 18 months. I am going to Trading Standards to see if I can get out of this contract with 3 Mobile. If anyone reads this, go to a shop to purchase your mobile. NEVER buy either on-line or via the telephone.

I have the same problem and i have learnt to my knowledge that they have a few companies running under different names such as westtalk corporate which is based in devon but run by the same people who i had the misfortune of dealing with and have been told i will not be recieving my cashback as they have not recieved my paperwork and then they confirmed they did but now they are saying they have not they are not to be trusted these are the companies i have been given a list of that they run/own by one of the helpful staff working in their office who agrees what they are doing is wrong here is the list
mobileclub7/westtalk corporate/tulip as we all know and i must say the mobileclub7 website is very tempting and then you know what happens sadly nothing arrives just like my cashback

Wow i was amazed with this site about Tulip! i 2 am 1 of the unfortunate customers like u guys, my contract began in aug 05 was told i wud receive my first cashback in feb after sending them all the required documents, i di dand i rang them back a week after sending my docs just to find out if they had received it bu to my surprise they told me that it takes 21 days for they system to upload new docs and that i shud ring back then (wat a laf 21 days just to know if they have received it) i did 21 days later and was horrified when they told me that they didnt. So i rang royal mail to ask if i cud get a proof of signature (i had sent my docs by recorded delivery thank goodness for that) for which i had to pay 3 quid or something when i received that i faxed it to tulip and had to ring 21 days later again just to find out if they had received my fax to which they then said yes. I then asked them that some1 had told me they didnt receive my docs so how cud it be that i have a proof of signature to which they apologised and asked me to fax all my docs. i did to which each page of fax cost me a quid each and rang them a few weeks after that to find out wat was going on they said they had recieved my docs and that i wud soon get mey cashback. about 3 weeks later not hearing nething from them i rang them again and was told that i need to send the last bill and my acknowledgement letter costing me another 2 quid after which i was told i i shud receive my cashback in may being april so i waited and now im still waiting just for my 1st cash back!!!!! if any one has ne suggestions pls eamil me at seandsouza_80@hotmail.com im really frustrated and dont know wat to do thanx

I am in the same situation as everyone here but I am taking them to small claims court, hearing is taking place on 6th October in Edmonton County Court @ 2.00 PM. If any one wishes to support my claim by either being a witness or in writing then I would return the favour. We all need to get together to fight this.

i am waiting for sandeeps reply, or cheque to procced to trading standard uk, for which i hope I could spend a little more to these mobile expenses.

Hi people, what a surprise - i do an internet search about Tulip Plus to see if they are con artists and i find this site!! I have two mobile phones on a twelve month contract with 3G but went through a dealership called Tulip Plus. I did this to get a cashback deal and therefore obtain cheaper line rental. When i received the phones there was a return slip (titled 'acknowledgement of safe receipt of the handset') which i had to sign and date and send back to Tulip to let them know i had received the phones. For one of the phones the contract with Tulip had my name incorrectly spelt so i phoned them and asked them to amend it. They said they couldn't unless i sent them a letter and proof in the form of an old bill to prove what my correct name was. Due to me having to send back the aknowledgement slip signed by my correctly spelt name i thought it would only be right that the written letter should be on the same slip. Therefore i signed and dated the aknowledgement slip and wrote the letter underneath. I also obtained a copy of an old phone bill and sent that and the slip with the letter on back to Tulip in the same envelope within the 14 day time limit. I got the phones in October 2005 and the cashback was to be paid in three lump sums of £45.35 for each phone after i had sent the correct documentation in months 6, 9 and 12 of the contract. My first cashback was due in April so i sent all the correct documentation for both phones within the time limit and waited for the cashback to arrive in the form of a cheque. A couple of days later my documents for one of the phones was returned with a letter saying that because i had not returned the acknowledgement slip i was not entitled to the cashback. I know that i definately sent it back because it was the slip with my written letter on it asking them to correct my name. When i phoned them up to dispute their decision they said i had not sent the slip. I asked them if they had corrected my name on the contract and they answered yes - the only way they could have corrected it was if they received my old phone bill and written letter. The letter was on the acknowledgement slip which therefore proves that i had sent it!! I tried to explain this to them but they were having none of it. I spent around £20 in phone calls to them because each time i phoned i was on hold for ages and when i got through they either cut me off or put me on hold until the line went dead. They were simply avoiding my calls. On one day i had to phone back upto 6 times because they kept hanging up. Luckily, or so i thought, i had been accepted for the cashback for the other phone but when i asked when i would receive it i was either hung up on or told in the near future. I have been waiting 10 - 11 weeks now and have still not received anything!! I did everything they asked and sent the correct documentation all within the specified time limits but Tulip Plus just don't want to pay up. If they don't send me any cashback they would be withholding £272.10 of which is righfully mine to claim. I followed their complaints procedure but got no reply (obviously). I have contacted watchdog and I am waiting for a reply. This company is definately one to stay clear of.

Hi all,
Just been emailing trading standards to see if anything can be done (probably not) but hey what else is there. I have an 8 mth history like everyone else.
Anyway - I got a call from Alex from 3,(obviously not from 3, obviously not really called Alex, trying to offer me a great deal on a 3 mobile. I said I had 2 months of my stitched up contract left. He said it was a 1 day offer only (yeah right). I told him that I wasnt going to pay 2 contracts, even if the overlap was 1 month. he said I will have 14 days to return the phone if I didnt want it - and i didnt have to pay till those 14 days were up. I told him that still left me in mid July - I am already tied in till Sept. He got irrate with me and said I was wasting his time and he had other customers who wanted the deal. What ???? I asked him where he was from. Kerela, India was the reply. After telling him where to shove it i called 3 customer services. They were unaware of any such mobile offer, and haven't got offices based in Kerela - surprise surprise. We then received at least 5 calls in the space of 20 mins, each time they hung up when I answered. So they have taken to prank calling as I p***d them off. nice !. Next time they phone - I shall use a klaxon horn down the phone - they are already dumb I will try to make them deaf too. I cannot type the next word as it may cause offence. You get the idea !

Very similar comments have been posted about Just3G Communications. There was a thread on this site about these jokers but it has been removed for legal reasons. The Just3G website has been down for a few days claiming 'website update', I am hoping they have been stopped from trading and been impaled on something hot and sharp.

I recommend using www.moneyclaim.gov.uk to take your case through the small claims court. I have successfully done this with my first cachback claim and am doing so with my second. It costs £30 which the jokers pay if the court finds in your favour. Luckily I kept a complete history of my dealings with Just3G and have submitted evidence of them lying to avoid paying the cashback along with copies of my complete documentation required to make the claim.

If you feel you can submit evidence then I would recommend this route. For everybody else I would recommend keeping a full history of emails etc that you have with compaines as I see it an increasingly popular business practise to operate on this basis - Telecoms especially.

I also found 3 particularly elusivein giving me information about my account that I was going to use in my court case against Just3G. The amount of times I asked for a particular document to be sent to me was unbelievable... its as if they didnt want to assist me in my action.. :)

Dont give up on them, the more people who take this action the better.
