my car windscreen broke. Hill House Hammond instructed Autoglass to fit a new one. The windscreen was replaced in the pouring rain on my drive on an incline with the front of the car raised at an angle of approximately 30 degrees exposing the inside of the dashboard to the pouring rain. The following day the car was started at which time it was noticed that the oil warning indicator and the air conditioning unit fan was cycling randomly and numerous relays were chattering! In addition there is a small amount of damage to the paintwork on the upper passenger side corner of the window consistent with damage from the removal process.
Since then I have had two visits from engineers and I am still awaiting acknowledgement that I have a claim. HHH tell me their fax is broken!!! Their engineers haven't returned their calls! Some two months on my car is still letting in water and HHH are just sitting on their hands. I am now considering taking them to court. I had to hire a car and pay for a new air conditioning unit. I will never again use Hill House Hammond.
I had a perfectly good fully serviced, operational car until Hill House Hammond instructed Autoglass to replace my windscreen.
