I actually made the mistake of joining this company about 2 years ago, and thought it was a sincere company. I paid my £30 and was told I would receive wok in a couple of weeks. I have contacted them by phone, where a very rude abrupt man answered and was told work would be with me in a few weeks. I emailed them and called again, and was told to put my complaint and that I wasted my money back in writing so I did, and 2 years on still no reply and still no money back. Does anyone know if there is anyone else who is official I can contact to see about retrieving my money?
i am a mother of two struggling to get back into work, so i had a look on the internet for jobs working from home then up popped top-star i thought i hit gold as they were paying good money for just typing and printing letters. they asked me for a £30 membership fee but i thought hey its good pay and i get it back with my first pay anyway they seemed like a genuine company after reading their web page, but at the back of my mind i thought i should google the company just incase and as i suspected i found this site blagger.com im so glad i found this as i am on benefits and can't afford to loose £30. i cant believe companies like top-star can get away with this they are so sick. ALWAYS check companies out when they ask for money
I was very nearly tempted to join this company after receiving an e-mail from them about a query I made. I phoned them and spoke to a very rude 'gentleman' who got very defensive when I started asking him questions. I didn't like his response so I contacted my local trading standards who informed me that they have had dealings with him in the past and that he is actually appearing in court next month.
could someone also give me the contact details to make a complaint. I have been called several names over the telephone and the phone put down on myself. I think this is very bad!!! do not sign up with this its a big con.
I surf the internet most evening [I am a Professional person] as I like to learn and see what is going on in the world. I was intrigued to find out what was available 'working from home' as an option for a friend when Top Star Mailshare came up, offering good money for typing manuscipts etc. The clues were very obvious - Genuine companies NEVER ask for money, they dont pay cash on collection [via driver!. It is sad that some people have no decency and will do whatever it takes to take money from innocent people. Be aware there are many others just like Top Star Mailshare, a computer email guarantees you nothing in return, check these companies out - if you have not heard of them more than likely they are false.
*****DO NOT REGISTER WITH THEM!*****
I e-mailed these people asking if it was genuine, they promptly replied and did their best to convince me. so after I signed up, I e-mailed them again asking when will work be available? NO reply. So then I e-mailed them again asking for a refund..No reply.
So I reported them to the Advertising Standards Agency, who sent me a letter saying they have received past complaints about Top-Star and mentioned that Haringey Trading Standards were giving Top-Star a hard time haha. So I sent an email to Haringey TS and they asked me to give them my membership Number so they can get my money back from them.
if anyone has fallen victim to them, report them to Advertising Standards Agency, Consumer Direct, and to Trading standards (preferable Haringey). Hopefully they will be put out of business and you'll get your money back.
Top star Mailshare advertised at www.total jobs.com on the 17th of June about a genuine work from home job opportunity & they asked for £30 life time membership fee, I sent it by postal order & never heard from them again, they basically robbed my money & I am trying hard to get my money back but it seems that their address, phone no & email addresses are all fake. Its really scary, I even cant trust anybody now when applying for a job never mind work from home!!!!!!!!!!!!! will never apply for work from home.
I would suggest Googling them.... They've been around a long time and its unlikely that you will be satisfied by there service or receive a refund if you complain. If your interested in Homeworking schemes I would suggest that you look at http://www.homeworking.com/ :o)
Hi, I received quite a lengthy letter (or possible twaddle) from a company going by the name of Top-Star Mailshare and was wondering if anyone has actually sent the £30 they are asking for and made a return (salary) from it? They claim to be making a genuine offer, but I am not too sure.
