Sold me a car not fit for the road as it had no key for the locking nuts on the wheels.

Being a female driver, i wanted to go to a dealer that i knew would treat me as a customer and not just a 'female that knows nothing about cars', and seeing as a few of my friends have bought cars from them without any problems i thought i would give them a go. Rix treated me in a most professional manner, were very friendly and polite, and offered me an absolutely fantastic deal on the car i wanted, and i could honestly assure anyone that they are well worth buying from. I give them 10/10!!!
Reg Rix, owner of Rix Motor Company, is probably the only true gent of the motor trade! We bought a car from them last month and had lots of issues with it. As anyone will know, you can’t truly know what the customer care is like until you have paid the money, then need the support/backup. All I can say is that I’m glad I went to them, because not only did they solve the issue, they went out of their way to ensure I was happy as a customer, having invested money in their business. It goes without saying that I will definitely buy from them again in the future. Rix believes in the long-term investment when it comes to its customers, and relies on many of their customers returning. Why can’t all car dealers do business this way? I can't understand why some people on this review site are telling a different story, as I couldn't fault them. As we all know, there are ways of approaching people... I treated them respectfully and they looked after us brilliantly. Not only is the service good, I have to say that I got a superb trade in deal on my own car. One bloke I spoke to whilst browsing there stated that he had bought at least seven cars from them to date! Old-fashioned customer service and valuesâÂ?¦ just when you think it doesn’t exist anymore! Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all at Rix motor co (particularly Reg and James) for exceeding our expectations. About 6 months ago I purchased a convertible BMW from Rix Motors, all seemed good at first. I only tested the stereo with the radio which seemed fine, however, when using CDs I found out the head unit was faulty and had to replace that, plus the CD changer as that was no longer compatible. I've also noticed that the broken electric wing mirror is an extremely complex problem which they told me to go get fixed somewhere, then bill them for the expense, couldn't go to BMW though as that was too expensive, i've had to spend nearly £1000 correcting their mistakes. My advice, DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM RIX MOTOR COMPANY!!!!! I need a beer!
i just wanted to say that Rix motor company is in my opinion one of the best car dealers around, i have had so much trouble with other dealers when buying a car, so i decided to try looking in a different area, and was pleased to have come across Rix motor company. they gave me an excellent deal which came with fantastic customer service and i can truly say that from now on, Rix is my number 1 dealer!
I have only good things to say about Rix. I'd been hunting for a particular car for a while, they had the one & gave me a great px deal. Their customer service and professionalism was outstanding, I'd been to a few garages before them and I had a lot to compare them with! I will definitely recommend them to people I know.
I have been a customer for rix motor company over many years and yet again has recently bought a car from them. They have been totally honest and upfront and done what they promised. They are a friendly company with extremely friendly staff who are willing to help whatever the circumstances. They are a pleasure to deal with and are extremely reccomendable, they would definately be at the top of my list of reccomendations!
it took me a couple of years to successfully take this company to court...i subsequently won. no wonder they have not had more court findings against them as it was such b@llache. They fought it out till the end knowing that they had misl@d me. the court not just found in my favour but also found a case for fr@udulent misrepresentation!! bought a car off them which turned out to be unsafe and have serious faults despite them telling me that the car had been through a full specialist service and that it flew through the service...i actually now have the proof showing that all the faults were originally picked up and they deceiv@d me into buying the car. stay away. you have been warned!
i must say, i really cannnot understand some of the previous comments left about the Rix Motor Company! i have recently bought a car from them and i must say, it is one of the best car dealers i have been to for a very long time. they deal in an extremely proffesional manner, they do not pester, they kept me well informed with the details of the specific cars i was interested in. they are a brilliant car dealer and i would definately reccomend to anyone who is looking for a new car, a good deal and fantastic customer service!
I have had many cars off the rixy business, and they have helped me when my car broke down the other week. I would highly recomend Rix motor company, it is a well run business and the staff are very friendly. The site its self is very big with a large selection of cars which are displayed wonderfully. I traded my Mercedes AMG C32 at RIX what a nightmare, my merc had outstanding finance Rix were clear as part of the deal. It was supposed to paid within 7 days, they sold my merc within 2 weeks and took 4 MONTHS to clear the loan they bounced two cheques on the Finance company and came out with all sorts of Bulls**t because of all this I got black marks on my credit history. the car they sold me has been in for repairs 6 times in the first 5 months....My Advice Walk away I will Never use or recommend them

Having bought a car from Rix Motor Company a few months ago have been nothing short of extatic with my purchase. It made a change to deal with an established family business, rather than a corporate main dealer. I found all to be very helpful and got a fantastic deal and a very special service. There should be more car dealers like this who deal with people rather than numbers!
Working in a customer enviroment, people have different expectations, maybe this customer who "waited a year" to get things sorted is being over the top, and people shouldn't take a one sided version. People exagerate. As for spare keys - used cars come with what they get, they are an extra, not a privelage!!! We are only human.
In a nut shell - Rix motor company, fantastic, great range of cars and 100% service.
I purchased a car from Rix Motor Company earlier this year, since when there has been a whole ream of problems. It started with the car not being ready to collect on the date agreed, this happened twice. Then on the day I did collect it, on driving home I noticed the factory fitted, functioning at the time of test drive, CD player had been replaced with a tape deck. When questionning the salesman I got varying explanations as to what had happened. It took several months and the subsequent departure of the said salesman to get a replacement. The replacement was not of equal or asthetic value as the previous but it was the best they were willing to offer. They explained that if another car of the same make/model as mine came in they would take the CD player out and give it to me. This never happened. In the meantime I had to arrange with the Company Secretary to have work done that was already agreed at the point of sale. This included having a new electronic key fob made, this took a lot of haggling because of the cost involved but was eventually done. Although a spare key never materialised. Then there was the issue of a dent in the rear wing of the car to be straightened out. This again took months to correct. Then just when I thought everything was sorted the engine seized! I cannot tell you how many phonecalls have been made, or how many letters and faxes I have sent since this whole fiasco started but it runs into many hours of work. Just to top it all off, now they are not returning phonecalls or replying to letters.
