Next (Waterfiedls in Watford)

I worked for them for a few days over the summer sale and they only ever paid me for one day. I have called countless times and they are just not prepared to do anything about it!

When I asked to speak to the manager, I was told I couldn't becuase she was too busy! What a joke. Now when I call up, I just get fobbed off - and they never call me back.

I can safely say that I will never work for or shop at Next again. And I will be telling the same to all my frineds and family :)

They are 100% blaggers!!!!

We received a huge, heavy Next directory, that we didn't want, from them by courier recently. A couple of weeks later, they then had the nerve to send us a bill charging us for this directory!

Fortunately they agreed to cancel the charge when I phoned to complain.

absolutely shocking customer service and totally unreliable delivery.
made a huge order from the home department for a quick delivery on a certain date. on the day only one item turned up, the courier insisting she knew nothing abou the rest of the order but that "it might be in the car somewhere" but she couldnt check now as the car was too full and so she would come back later. she never did come back and when i called next i was told that the rest of the order would take between another 5 days to weeks, for a variety of reasons. so we agreed to cancel the order and i was refunded in full.
Now, 6 weeks later i have recieved an invoice charging me for a host of items that i never recieved (and had been cancelled) with a week to pay before being passed over to a debt collections agency!
It seems impossible to get anything sorted over the phone, i have spent countless hours on hold and being told "oh im ever so sorry" and being promised call backs that never happen.
So far the issue is not resolved and i cannot see it happening any time soon.
They insist that the order cannot have been cancelled as they do not offer cancellations and that they will be sending someone round to collect the order so that they can refund me (i dont HAVE the stuff, it never came!)
i have spoken to so many different people there, all with a different story and most not at all interested in resolving the problem, just concerned with arranging a collection.

The Courier company next use is diabolical. I had a parcel put through my bedroom window (ground floor flat) and have had parcels left in my back garden. Next said to me in the past they will get the courier to only deliver if the item is signed for, this is rubbish. The courier dont care how its delivered as long as its out of their hands!! I have called them about the parcel through window incident and they are investigating as the courier actually broke the catch on my window and Next are liable in my opinion for costs incurred (like they did with the parcels in back garden). In my experience the customer service team dont really care how the parcel arrives as long as you pay for it....Just be wary of them as a delivery service, its probably much better if you buy direct from the shop!

I used to like Next and prefer them as a semi-designer clothing co. Not any more! Their clothing range has gone completely down the pan and their so called 'Sales' have turned them into a TK Maxx style Oxfam!

I went to their recent sale having been in their shops a few weeks prior to it. I noted that nothing that was there a few weeks prior to sale was actually on sale - it remained the same price! The only items on sale were damaged or returned or out of stock "old" goods which they couldn't sell over the last years (or maybe even longer than that).

That's not my problem however. My problem is this - On the day of the sale I bought one shirt which I felt would be good for home cleaning, although when I bought it, realised that the hanger it was on showed the wrong size to what it actually was. Naturally, I went and found the right size, wen to the counter again and requested they change after explaining and getting them to agree to their mistake. Simple right? Wrong! The two-week work-placement student with his highly professional rudeboy slang and attitude, which he thought was well kool (no doubt he'd been given some kind of customer service training) said "nah mate, can't change it nah. We'z ain't got no way o' doin it" I obviously objected as it's a simple thing to do and recieved the following reply to my amusement : "look geeza, r till's don' allaa-wit, no refund, no exchange today". There was no apology nor any respect nor manners! However, he did say to bring it back in a couple of days and he'd keep the right sized shirt aside for me and exchange it then. Fair enough.

I went back a couple of days later and asked to have it exchanged, but alas, they'd sold it! Nothing was kept behind for me and again, no apology. Not only that, but they couldn't answer as to whom was serving on that day. Hell it could've been me!

Not happy about their policy for sale, nor with their service or attitude of their staff!
