Tekram Goldberg and other claims specialists now have to be regstd with a government body, new legislation came into force 23rd april 2007, if the company has not regstd they cannot legally represent their clients in any claim.

Back in Feb2007 I foolishly and against my better judgement paid tekram £500 upfront for a claim against a company for pension mis-selling. The new legisltation was brought to my attention at the end of april, it transpires that claims management companies where aware that new legisltion was coming into force last yr and that they had until 16th feb 2007 to register on the government database.

Tekram did not register with the government and cannot represent my claim, although they are a regstd buisiness in the uk they are actually based in spain. I have called them several times and sent e-mails all of which have been ignored.

I am currently in contact with trading standards who are investigating and i am trying to claim my money back from my credit card company as it seems i am protected.

It also transpires Tekram Goldberg are being investigated in spain by europol and interpol for timeshare fraud!

to check if a claims company is regstd look here

I was surprised, once again, that you allow unsubstantiated messages on your website.? A trustful source is not verifiable as no name is given or address to which we can dispute these claims.? This is highly damaging to a business and should not be allowed in an open forum were a business can not dispute a malicious allegation. Please supply us with this information of this trustful source so that we can refute these claims and remove this message from your website thus allowing a legitimate company to pursue its business.

Kind regards,

Just to add some more info about the winding up of VA.

The Insolvency Service will write to you offering to return any copies of original documents that you may have sent to VA. However, in the shorter term you may wish to give them a ring or write to them, at this address: The Insolvency Service, Public Interest Unit North, PO Box 326, Boulton House, 17-21 Chorlton Street, Manchester, M60 3ZZ.

TeL: 0161 934 4182, Fax: 0161 934 4181, e-mail david.prince@insolvency.gsi.gov.uk

The winding up order number is 1339 of 2006.

If you wish to pursue your financial claims against VA you will need to let them know - though I doubt the insolvency service will find much cash in the bank accounts.

Good luck, As there is no longer a company to write blags about I guess I won't be coming back to this particular blagger again.

Hi,
Vickers Anderson consulting was subject to a winding up order, (much the same as the company, Smartalk), on 2nd June. You can read about it at this link http://www.insolvency-service.co.uk/viewpiucasedetails.asp?companyname=vickers anderson
Any enquiries should be sent to the details on the article, hope this helps.

Yesterday at Manchester Crown Court Johnson Williamson, a former director of Smartalk Ltd a personal computer business, following his extradition from Spain, was sentenced to three years’ imprisonment and disqualified from acting as a company director for twelve years after admitting he defrauded customers. Over 17,000 customers paid for but never received their computers.

Vickers Anderson took £500 from us in November 2005 telling us that within 3 months everything would be sorted. We have phoned them countless times but with no avail. The Rep was a Mr Robert Hamilton? If this is his real name.. Any Idea's on how you get your money back?? Cheers

I would presume they are a Company who can sort out problems with endowment miss-selling?
If thats the case why not do what I did and claim the compensation back yourself without involving Companies like this.
Write to the Insurer, explain the problem, show proof (you need proof of course that it was mis-sold) and Bob's your Aunties Husband.

Simple as that. I got back £2500 and did it all by myself :)

I would like to say that I worked for this company, for a brief period last summer. I was fortunate enough to be paid on time & accurately however a number of my colleagues wages were hundreds of pounds short. Neil the MD lives in Spain and is said to be having a marvellous time on everybody's hard earned cash!
The reason why they take so long to refund money is that the money is being held for a certain period of time to gain interest.
I would advise that any customer thinking of paying this company to carry out work on your behalf to think again! Piles of files are just left on the office floor for weeks, this is the reason so many of them go missing. The Data Protection Act is not adhered to, and as for a clear desk policy-don't even think about it.
The majority of the work is carried out by young individuals mainly college leavers or people in between the ages of 18-23 with no experience in mortgage endowment shortfalls. No training is provided! The office manager who if you kick up a loud enough fuss and get to speak to is actaully an ex nurse, who had enough of working for the NHS. Her daughter is the general manager and senior claims consultant Hayley Taylor, who is 24 and also holds no qualifications past GCSE level. There is a tremendous amount of pressure and verbal abuse put on the young members of the team to get work done. This is extremely hard to do without any job knowledge or formal training!
Please I urge people never to allow this company to work on your behalf as you will be lucky if 18 months later your file has even been opened. Go to the Citizens Advice Bureau or the building society where you took the endowment policy out, believe me you will find this more useful than Vickers Anderson!

I too was conned out of £495 by Vickers Anderson, but my story may assist others reclaim their money.

After nearly 9 months without any sign of Vickers Anderson delivering on their promises, I put a claim into my creit card company under the the Consumer Credit Act (CCA) Section 75 and have since received a full refund on my credit card.

My claim against Vickers Anderson was on two counts: firstly, that they were guilty of 'misrepresentation' by stating in letters and literature that their service was 'risk free' AND secondly, that they were in 'breach of contract' in that they did not act in 'good faith on behalf of the client and to pursue the claim against the insurers with vigour', as it stated in their own contract.

By documenting records of phone calls, letters and e-mails and the complete lack of response from Vickers Anderson I was able to convince the credit card company of my case and they clearly found in my favour.

I hope this gives others a possible avenue for a refund.

P.S. I know that Vickers Anderson are now being hounded by the credit card company for the money.

If only I had known about this site in June 2004 when I paid £495.00 to Vickers Anderson Consultants, I can honestly say I wouldn't have touched them with a barge-pole.

 KennyB at 29th Mar 2006, 10:03PM
Spent £495 with VAC, same old story of no responses to fax/e-mail/voicemail. Only rare communications received were worthless standard letters with no references or legible signatures. Unprofessional full stop. Understand credit companies will credit in full with sufficient evidence of non-recipt of services paid for.

 Oncebitten at 26th Mar 2006, 11:21AM
Yep, me too. Paid the £500ish last July and have heard very little, can't get through on the phone and am a tad worried. Suppose we can say goodbye to the money? Has anyone else given up and tried to clain for the endowment with another company?

 curlygirl at 21st Mar 2006, 03:06PM
This company got my phone number from somewhere and kept phoning me at home pressurising me to send them £495 and they will start a claim against an endowment shortfall.

I got suspicious and searched the web to find out who they were, I came across Blagger.com

Wow, am I glad I did not part with any money, other victims need to do some research before parting with cash.

Having signed up and paid £495 of our hard earned money to this "company" in August 2005 we had heard nothing. We contacted the company on 0871 789 5126 & 0161 848 0189 & 0871 789 5102 & 02070 844 244 eventually got a voice who assured would get information to us. Nothing happened. Rang again. Nothing happened. Rang for 90 mins never got to a voice. Never again wish had seen this site take it money has gone.

I dont know about you folks but i find the most annoying thing about those who run is company is the fact that they have never even bothered to make any serious atttempt to defend themselves.

Who would seriously use these again?

maybe they need to go and have a serious training course in PR!

Kind Regards

I paid this company £500 in June 2005 then a further £50 for 'admin costs' in August, since when I've heard nothing. If you ever do get through by phone, they promise to investigate and call back - fat chance! I wish I'd seen this site or the BBC Watchdog report before talking to them.

 philiptdavies at 30th Jan 2006, 08:47AM
I paid £495 to these people way back in may 2005 i have lodged a county court proceeding against them but it looks like they (vickers) are just simply going to ignore it and hope it goes away like they have done with that ex-staff member that they owe wages to.

Avoid this company at all costs ill keep you updated via blagger how the county court thing goes!

 rippedoffbyvickers at 29th Jan 2006, 12:32AM
haha instead of posting on here haha what a laugh. Maybe you could tell us then all about oneil williamson and smartalk or shall i go on about money that you guys owe for employment tribunals or should i go on about overdue refunds or maybe just go on about how bad of a company you are?

http://www.bbc.co.uk/watchdog/

hopefully you guys at blagger.com will post this message unlike the rest that i have tried posting -what i have said on here differs none from what i said about these on watchdog for all to hear!

 carlgrimes at 23rd Jan 2006, 07:34PM

 vickersanderson at 20th Jan 2006, 10:08AM
Call me cynical or what but why do I feel that the message left by travelbird is by someone who works for Vickers Anderson.

I'm still waiting for Alan Gold (Gould?) to contact me after he contacted me via Blagger in November 2005. I asked him to contact me by phone rather than converse over the internet. As ever no response. This Company is an absolute shower and should not be used at any point.

 grahamk at 18th Jan 2006, 02:20PM
you are the 1st happy customer i have heard of. Not to be rude or anything are you really a customer or a employee?

Btw now watchdog has been on, the newspaper stories have been published were do we go from here?

I vote to say we should set up some sort of club/creditors board or somesuch. Any ideas?

 carlgrimes at 18th Jan 2006, 11:30AM
Dear All
I am writing this post not because I wish to be dragged in to this agrument but simply as I feel that this is a very one way argument. I understand that all you people must feel extremly angry, ripped off and upset by this company and will do and in most cases are doing everything you can to hurt the reputation of this company. My experience is very different, m claim was handled very well I had the whole thing done and dusted in about 7 and a half months from start to finish. Sometimes it was hard to get through but i always got through and have spoke to various different members of staff who were very helpful and called back within 48 hours as promised. I have recently accepted just short of £5000 in compensation and have to say that I would recommend their services to others, I realise that this post may stir some anger but I really feel that as a satisfied customer I should come forward.
Thank you for reading.
