Their restaurants are not much better! Free refills on soft drinks? Thats if you are lucky enough to get a server who actually wants to serve you rather than chat to her mates at the bar all evening! And if they ever actually get an order right, I will be very impressed. In their defense I have had so many free meals out of the company because I complain to head office (why do I keep going there? My kids like it!) I suppose their customer service is alright.
OK, I'll probably be hit with inane "If Australia is so good, why don't you go back there" type comments, but here goes... Pizza Hut in the UK is SIMPLY not up to the standards of Pizza Hut in other countries.
For one, it's expensive (why are things expensive in the UK when wages are so low? Who knows) but my main issue is speed.
It's FAST food right? Well, not in Edinburgh it seems. Pizza Huts here consistently have a delivery time of 40-50 minutes (even on slow days) and I'm afraid that's just NOT acceptable in a modern city in 2005.
I've RARELY, waited more than 30(ish) minutes for a Pizza delivery back in Australia, (Often it comes in under 25mins) and on the few occasions that I HAVE had to wait longer, I've had an avalanche of apologies and often, free or discounted pizza.
Simply put, Pizza Hut in the UK needs to pull it's finger out - but, in their defence, so do MOST fast food businesses in the UK.
