Further to my posting of 23 Feb 2004:

I never did receive the agreed refund for the dvd that I ordered and certainly no compensation for the huge premium rate telephone bill I ran up trying to secure it. As you will have read, this company has now gone out of business which is some justice I suppose, but little comfort for the poor people who are still owed money. If you are owed money by these sharks, there is a creditors meeting on 24 March at 37 Cleveland Road, St Helier, Jersey. The purpose of this meeting is to appoint Adrian John Denis, 2 Old Farm Close, La Route du Mont Mado, St John, Jersey as the liquidator. I'll be writing, so good luck to anyone else who does.
Incidently, if anyone knows the names of the former directors of this company, it might be worth posting them here as there is very little to stop them trying the same scam under a different company name later on.

well it had to happen they have gone bust with over £100 of my money and load of others as well, i will in future choose who i shop with and if it is a company who take your money before they ship i won't bother with. i hope they lock up the owner of the splash DVD website and make him sell his house off to pay all the people he ows money to, but of course that won't happen he will be siting there with his cash laughing at every one.

below is an email that i sent to splash DVD to say that they are the worst company and i have still not had a reply. since i sent the email to them i have had my phone bill in and my call of 38 min and 10 sec cost me £3.07.

Dear Sir or madam I must say that your website is the worst one that I have come across you may be cheep but so is the service you don't answer e-mails and if you do phone up you have to hang on for half an hour to get through and when you do get through no one has a clue about your orders and to find out what is going on you have to go though every order number separate as your system can't seam to bring up all of the orders in one go, you take the money for the orders straight away even though the order may not be sent for some time or at all , and after over a month iam told that you cant get the DVD so why list an item in the sale if you can't get it, I have over a £100 of outstanding orders with you and nothing is arriving even new releases are not turning up when other sites list in stock and ready for dispatch, you are gaining interest off me for all the money that has been taken for orders not sent. All round the general service is very poor. Other Internet company's only take the money when the order is ready for dispatch and they may be a £1 or so more but least they give a good service and only take the money when they have the goods. And iam not the only one have this type of problem with your service as I have spoken to other people that I recommend to your site as of the prices and they to have had the same problems and they have said to me that they won't use you again and I won't bother if this is the way that you run this company, and if I had known how you ran it I would have not recommended my friends to it either. If the rest of my order is not for filled soon I will have no choice but to cancel the rest of my order and take my custom elsewhere. But in this day and age you won't probably care as you will say that there is plenty of other customers out there but if they all get the same service that I get they will leave to. I would like a response to this email to and not just ignored like the other ones that I have sent to your company
------------------------------------------------
so my advise to this company Splash DVD is don't buy from them, they have over £100 of my money and i have no goods
i would rather pay a bit more for a better service.

Ordered a dvd from this company which failed to arrive despite the money being taken from my account almost immediately. Sent EIGHT emails to their customer care department but all were ignored. Eventually had to hang on the telephone for twenty minutes at premium rate only to be told that the dvd I had ordred was out of stock, had been so for a number of weeks, and they had no idea when they would have supplies. Arranged a refund which, at the time of posting this message, I am still waiting for. Appalling service, would never use again whatever their prices.

This company has to be the worst trading on the internet that I have come across. They debit your credit card as soon as you place an order. Then conveniently they change the item from in stock to on order. All the extra time they have your money must make them more profit than what they actually make from selling products. DO NOT deal with them. Do search on google and see the many complaints.
