on 15 october an engineer serviced our gas boiler under the home care agreement, whilst trying to reignite the boiler a small explosion occured. the engineer stated that the parts needed would be fitted the next day, however he phoned back to say it would be 7 to 10 days after many phone calls and letters an engineer arived on november 14 with some parts only to find that the part needed was not one of them. to date 30 november the boiler is still not working and we have been without hot water for nearly 7weeks.no matter how many times you phone the company and they state they will phone back they never do, they will not let you speak to a manager and you cannot get an answer to when the problem will be fixed.
I moved into my new house in Dec 05. My heating coudl only be on at 1 heat - maximum! - and soem of the radiators woudlnt turn off at all! Its a rented house so thelandlard has the gas cover. they came out 3 times, first said all was fine, 2nd fixed 1 of the 2 radiators and said all else was fine - said was notmal to have thermatat heating at one maximum heat! - by this time by bills were £200 per month!!!! the 3rd engineer admitted thermostat problem and changed it - hey presto all is ok now!!!! HOWEVER they are taking me to court over the disputed balance, despite them having records of the fault and when it was finally fixed. My gas is nor about £50 per month - go figure. Cant get anyone to retuern our calls, collection agansies call and we let them know whats hapepning, they go away very sympathetic as they hear it all the time - when will it ever end!!!!
i have had very high gas bills since moving into my home 4 years ago.£154 a month at the moment. i have lost count of the amount of phone calls i have made over the years to try and resolve this.i decided to get a meter check. scottish gas sent someone out to take my meter away to be tested and replaced it with a new one. this was 3 weeks ago. today i recieved a letter from the company who tested my meter to say it wasnt faulty. since having the new meter my husband has been keeping note of the gas we use and in the 3 weeks of having the new meter we hav used 62 units. with the old meter we used around 27 to 31 units a day. so in 3 weeks we would have used around 500 units. i then phoned scottish gas to let them know of the diffrence. after speaking to 2 different people who didnt have a clue they finally let me speak to a manager.he said yes there is a big diffrence in units being used but unfortunatly theres nothing they can do about it because the meter check came back accurate. i feel for years i have been over paying and dont really know where to go from here. paula
I have three star central heating cover wiith scottish gas. When i moved into my new house the system was checked and approved. In February I noticed a small dripping coming from the expansion chamber near the hot water tank. A week later an "engineer" came and replaced the expansion chamber. Ever since when I use the hot water there is an almighty noise which lasts for 30seconds or so which is enough to wake the whole street and I am worried the vibrations will burst the pipes. 5 months later, 10 engineers and several parts exchanged I am still in the same boat. I have raised 2 formal complaints but no body seems to know what the problem is. The problem is the new bloody expansion chamber everything was fine until they got their hands on it. Now Im being asked if I would contact the boiler manufacturer. Why would I? theres nothing wrong with the sodding boiler.
They truly are incompetent.
Scottish gas bill me for a gas supply that the house has had disconnected since 1989....without fail every quater in comes the bill. I now have a bad credit score because of this & they refuse to admit that there is no gas!! I even had the engineer check the house to Prove that there was no gas appliances....To add insult to injury they bill me a years worth of electricity every quater.....ahhhhh the saga continues...Stay away from them!!
Scottish Gas have recently hit me with a bill for nearly £2000 after two years of waiting and expect me to pay up. I constantly asked them for bills through out the two years and still nothing, then last week a bill of this amount shows up through my door, its not bloody good enough !!!!!!!!!!!
