In October 2007 I ordered 6 tickets for Cliff Richard at Wembley Arena for November 2008. I was not happy at the time as no seat numbers were given and there were issues around the final cost of the tickets. E-mail's were never answered and I now find that this company have gone into liquidation! It was when I saw Watchdog on TV that alarm bells really started to ring. I obviously was never going to receive these tickets. However, on reading other comments I contacted a site called 'viagogo' who have been marvellous. I now have my 6 tickets secured. Viagogo are a very pleasant and efficient company to deal with. They called me back within 5 minutes on a query. I would highly recommend them. The moral is to check out just who you are buying tickets, etc. from.

I ordered 6 Spice Girls tickets months before they were on in January. It got nearer and nearer, and surprise surprise, i still had no tickets! It was days before and we eventually got throught to them on the phone. They then contacted me on the day of the concert and met up with me minutes before the concert started outside the arena. So i did get my tickets however, they were very unprofessional and im sure i wouldnt have recieved them unless i hadn't rang hundreds of times!

I ordered and paid for 2 t in the park camping tickets back in october. Guess what, i have not recieved them and am unable to contact the company. Good news, if you paid via credit card your insurance will cover it if you contact the credit card company. I also found another web site (anyticket.co.uk who are totally unrelated to the london ticket shop) and managed to order 2 more tickets yesterday (tuesday 8th july)at 3pm and recieved them via royal mail special delivery at 8am the following morning. They still had a few tickets left, so if you are lucky enough and order before 4pm you will recieve them the following morning. Good Luck!!!!

I booked 2 tickets to see Bruce Springsteen for last sat 14th June at Cardiff through London Ticket Shop. Tickets hadn't arrived by the Wednesday before so tried to email them- no reply! Then found out they had gone into liquidation last March. Tried to contact them again but no joy so decided to buy 2 more tickets from Getmein.com which arrived the following day (Thursday). On that same evening, London Ticket shop contacted me to say tickets would arrive tomorrow (friday). He said thet they had changed their email address hence not receiving a reply. They arrived about an hour before we were due to set off for Cardiff. Was told by our credit card company that no refund would apply because they sent the tickets. Ended up selling 2 tickets to a ticket tout for £15 each so about £115 out of pocket! What was I supposed to do, rely on blind faith that the original ticketswould arrive? Surely delivering the tickets the day before the concert is unacceptable given the circumstances and the fact that they are not contactable. Have spoken to trading standards but they say I have to check their terms and conditions to see if I have a case for a refund. Does anyone know how I can get hold of a copy? At least I got my tickets which is more than some people did so I know I am luckier than most but it still grieves me that I have been forced to pay out twice because of unacceptable trading standards.

This company has now gone out of business. I've attached a link to the insolvency website.
It's unlikely that we will all get our money back, but it's got to be worth a try.

Good Luck.

OH MY GOD, i am soo glad that lots of other people had trouble with this company!!!
i am a kid, i ordered tickets off this site for myself, my best friend, my cousin and her boyfriend. We bout four for Michael Buble on December 4th and i paid £90 per ticket. the agency assured me that they would arrive the a week before the event, but the day came of the concert and we still had no tickets. I was so distraught as i had already collected the money from my friends and i felt terrible for picking a tout agency that don't deliver your tickets! i emailed hundreds of times, (literally) and telephoned but i never got a reply. My dad managed to get me tickets however two hours before the concert which cost fortunes and we had fantastic seats and was the most amazing night ever! however, the LTS still have not given us a refund! and they have all our bank details!.. is this agency going to be shut down? as they keep shattering people's dreams of going to an incredible event!!!!

Like everyone else here, I got tickets from this company (Michael Buble - December) they never arrived - I called a hundred times and e-mailed and of course no response. I called Wembley arena directly and they said this company was a ticket tout and they'd heard of problems with them. They checked on their system to see my seats - the row I had paid over £300 for two tickets DIDN'T EVEN EXIST!! The day before the concert a frightfully posh woman called my mother and said there had been 'a problem' with our tickets but they had some other seats on the side 'still a good view' my mother said she wanted to check with me and call back - the woman very rudely said no, she had to tell her now whether she wanted the tickets or a refund within 14 days!! She opted for the refund which of course never happened. My mum paid by credit card - we immediately let the bank know all the details and after supplying the e-mails I had sent and some other details the bank refunded her. I see that this company has now set up as 'London Ticket Express'. How come these people are not prosecuted for the dodgy dealings?? This is stealing. unbelievable. Make sure you do let you bank know and you should get your money back

To James,

Yes we paid by debit card and they took £300 out. We did manage to get ours back from the bank, go in armed with evidence and I'm 99% positive you'll get your money back especially since they have now been closed down for being a bogus company. Good Luck!

 nikkim at 13th Mar 2008, 04:23PM
Hi Guys,

I've also been stung for £700. I paid by debit card and not credit card, does anyone know if I'll be able to claim from my bank? Has anyone else paid by devit card and their bank has refunded the money? It makes you feel sick thinking someone can do this!

Cheers

James

Like many of you I have phoned and got no response, e-mailed and it got returned as undelivered. I contacted Trading Standards on Friday 29th February 2008. They have confirmed this company has gone into receivership. Their advice was to e-mail the company handling this at piu.ore@insolvency.gsi.gov, give your purchasing details (date, amount, type of payment used etc)and request your money back. However they felt it was unlikely you would get any where.

 Cheeker at 1st Mar 2008, 10:21AM
Just found out their new name (same one as they use on Ebay) - London Ticket Express. The head office address is listed as Hungary. I almost used them too until it occured to me to check contact details.

 Chopsy at 21st Feb 2008, 07:57AM
If you paid by debit card contact you bank ASAP.

I paid by debit card and contacted my bank. I put in a claim for payment of goods not received and have today got all my money refunded!!

There will be paperwork to fill in but it is worth the effort - do not let them get away with it.

Good luck :)

i am owed money from LTS if anyone else is in the same position you can go onto there website there is a message that they have gone into administration if you click on insolvency website you can leave your details with them to try and get a refund

i do not expect to get any money back as i paid by debit card but we need as many people as possible to addheir details and get these people out of business for good. best of luck!!!

best of luck

 susan denning at 15th Feb 2008, 10:36AM
They've gone into administration, doubtless to open under another name in the not too distant future

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you have bought tickets that you never got and used a credit card then report them to your credit card company. The more people who do this the better as eventually the card companies will refuse to deal with them and they will go out of business. I did eventually get my money back, but I hounded them and threatened to report them to just about everyone. They still had my money for almost 12 months. You have been warned.

 valigo at 7th Feb 2008, 10:22AM
I bought 2 tickets to see the Manic Street Preachers last June. I bought them off tickettout.com, a similar company to this that seem to like taking peoples money but not providing the tickets (the company has since gone into administration and I doubt very much that many received a refund).

As soon as I bought the tickets off tickettout.com I found this forum saying how bad they were and that they had been on Watch Dog. I was gutted thinking that I wasn't going to get my tickets so rang up and made the woman on the end of the phone PROMISE and GUARANTEE that I would receive my tickets. A few weeks after this the company went into administration.

I was fairly sure that I wasn't going to receive my tickets or a refund and so bought 2 off ebay as well.

Alas, no tickets arrived from tickettout.com but the 2 off ebay did.

I paid with my dad's Barclays Debit Card as opposed to a Credit Card but he was still able to raise a dispute with Barclays who refunded him his money.

The reason I am writing about my experience of tickettout.com in this thread is because I think these people put their companies into administration and open up in a different name.

The people who owned tickettout.com had a ticket company before that, that fleeced people out of millions of pounds and alas the same happened with tickettout.com.

So I wouldn't be surprised if this London Ticket Shop has some affiliation with the owners of tickettout.com.

I would also just like to say that the few 'good' posts on here are more than likely made by London Ticket Shop representatives to try and make their company look slightly legitimate.

After all, how hard is it to make a phoney e-mail address and a phoney account?

My advice would be do NOT under any circumstances buy from this company.

Ticketmaster.com and seetickets.com are the two best legitimate sites I know of, but if they are sold out my advice would be if you do your research about sellers on ebay they are usually a much better bet.

Like a lot of people here, I got ripped off by these people (to the tune of UK#350 for Bruce Springsteen tickets.

Rather than moan about our collective misfortune, why don't we hit them where it hurts? I suggest we log onto their website and see who they are "Selling" tickets to and then go on the artists' chat rooms and warn people not to buy tickets from here

 hkjohn2001a at 4th Feb 2008, 06:25AM
I feel really bad!!!! I have just merrily paid out nearly £200 to this company for 2 iron Maiden tickets, and stupidly decided to check out the company afterwards, and have seen all the bad comments. With the name I just presumed they were in London and felt immeadietly suspicious when saw they were in hungary.....Its too early to tell yet whether they have ripped me off too, the worst thing is one of the tickets was for a friends son, so dont know whehter I should go ahead and buy them elsewhere, or just hope for the best?????
