To James,

Yes we paid by debit card and they took £300 out. We did manage to get ours back from the bank, go in armed with evidence and I'm 99% positive you'll get your money back especially since they have now been closed down for being a bogus company. Good Luck!

Hi Guys,

I've also been stung for £700. I paid by debit card and not credit card, does anyone know if I'll be able to claim from my bank? Has anyone else paid by devit card and their bank has refunded the money? It makes you feel sick thinking someone can do this!

Cheers

James

Like many of you I have phoned and got no response, e-mailed and it got returned as undelivered. I contacted Trading Standards on Friday 29th February 2008. They have confirmed this company has gone into receivership. Their advice was to e-mail the company handling this at piu.ore@insolvency.gsi.gov, give your purchasing details (date, amount, type of payment used etc)and request your money back. However they felt it was unlikely you would get any where.

Just found out their new name (same one as they use on Ebay) - London Ticket Express. The head office address is listed as Hungary. I almost used them too until it occured to me to check contact details.

If you paid by debit card contact you bank ASAP.

I paid by debit card and contacted my bank. I put in a claim for payment of goods not received and have today got all my money refunded!!

There will be paperwork to fill in but it is worth the effort - do not let them get away with it.

Good luck :)

Well I have only just received my tickets today - are you sure you are talking sbout the same company? Its all really complicated websites going up and down every day but as long as my tickets arrived am happy :->

i am owed money from LTS if anyone else is in the same position you can go onto there website there is a message that they have gone into administration if you click on insolvency website you can leave your details with them to try and get a refund

i do not expect to get any money back as i paid by debit card but we need as many people as possible to addheir details and get these people out of business for good. best of luck!!!

best of luck

 susan denning at 15th Feb 2008, 10:36AM
They've gone into administration, doubtless to open under another name in the not too distant future

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If you have bought tickets that you never got and used a credit card then report them to your credit card company. The more people who do this the better as eventually the card companies will refuse to deal with them and they will go out of business. I did eventually get my money back, but I hounded them and threatened to report them to just about everyone. They still had my money for almost 12 months. You have been warned.

I bought 2 tickets to see the Manic Street Preachers last June. I bought them off tickettout.com, a similar company to this that seem to like taking peoples money but not providing the tickets (the company has since gone into administration and I doubt very much that many received a refund).

As soon as I bought the tickets off tickettout.com I found this forum saying how bad they were and that they had been on Watch Dog. I was gutted thinking that I wasn't going to get my tickets so rang up and made the woman on the end of the phone PROMISE and GUARANTEE that I would receive my tickets. A few weeks after this the company went into administration.

I was fairly sure that I wasn't going to receive my tickets or a refund and so bought 2 off ebay as well.

Alas, no tickets arrived from tickettout.com but the 2 off ebay did.

I paid with my dad's Barclays Debit Card as opposed to a Credit Card but he was still able to raise a dispute with Barclays who refunded him his money.

The reason I am writing about my experience of tickettout.com in this thread is because I think these people put their companies into administration and open up in a different name.

The people who owned tickettout.com had a ticket company before that, that fleeced people out of millions of pounds and alas the same happened with tickettout.com.

So I wouldn't be surprised if this London Ticket Shop has some affiliation with the owners of tickettout.com.

I would also just like to say that the few 'good' posts on here are more than likely made by London Ticket Shop representatives to try and make their company look slightly legitimate.

After all, how hard is it to make a phoney e-mail address and a phoney account?

My advice would be do NOT under any circumstances buy from this company.

Ticketmaster.com and seetickets.com are the two best legitimate sites I know of, but if they are sold out my advice would be if you do your research about sellers on ebay they are usually a much better bet.

 andywoo at 5th Feb 2008, 02:25PM
Like a lot of people here, I got ripped off by these people (to the tune of UK#350 for Bruce Springsteen tickets.

Rather than moan about our collective misfortune, why don't we hit them where it hurts? I suggest we log onto their website and see who they are "Selling" tickets to and then go on the artists' chat rooms and warn people not to buy tickets from here

 hkjohn2001a at 4th Feb 2008, 06:25AM
I feel really bad!!!! I have just merrily paid out nearly £200 to this company for 2 iron Maiden tickets, and stupidly decided to check out the company afterwards, and have seen all the bad comments. With the name I just presumed they were in London and felt immeadietly suspicious when saw they were in hungary.....Its too early to tell yet whether they have ripped me off too, the worst thing is one of the tickets was for a friends son, so dont know whehter I should go ahead and buy them elsewhere, or just hope for the best?????

My husband bought two tickets for me for Linkin Park as a birthday present before Christmas but it wasn't until a couple of days before the concert that we realised the tickets hadn't arrived. We looked online and found this site, which got us really worried so we followed the website instricutions and emailed the office and manager. The day before we got a standard 'sorry there is a delay' email saying we would be contacted. Then th night before the concert my husband received a phone call on his mobile from Eden saying we would be called between 11am and 2pm the day of the concert.

We set off for London, having already bought our train tickets and booked a hotel for the night. The deadline came and went and when we tried to contact Eden her voicemail box was full. We also tried ringing Blake (07984 319596) and Alexis (07948 687042), whose numbers we got off this site. None of the numbers worked so as soon as we got to London we went to the office, 77 Oxford Street, room 214 I think. There was no-one there but through the door we could see tickets with peoples' names on and the words Linkin Park on envelopes.

We waited until eventually someone came back, a guy called Neil who appeared to be Moroccan. He let us in and got on the phone. We were then called by a guy called Steve who promised our tickets would be with us in half an hour and told us to get a coffee and come back. But we weren't leaving so we sat down and then were passed the phone to speak to someone called Jake who said we would have our tickets soon, with a complimentary upgrade. After half an hour the phone rang and Neil disappeared. He came back with some tickets for us, which were together and for the right night so we left. On the tickets though, it said they cost £32.50, when we had paid £55 each for them and it said they had been bought in cash at 3pm that day (the time roughly we were at the office). Still, we went off clutching our tickets. However we had also bought some tickets off ebay, not knowing if we would get our tickets or not, so we ended up with four tickets.

The show was excellent but my advice is to keep emailing the company if you don't get your tickets and if you can, try to go to the office to get them. The other office is at 5-6 Leicester Square. The night after we returned we saw the company on WatchDog, but unfortunately nothing seems to be being done about the company.

I too used LTS for Strictly Come Dancing Tickets as at the time I couldnt get them from any other sources. I started to get concerned about 10 days before the show as I hadnt heard anything and started to look into the company - of course as soon as I typed their name I found this website with all the comments about problems with the company and started to panic. I actually did get through to someone prior to that 3 - 5 days before the event who said dont worry you'll get your tickets two days before. Of course this didnt happen so I started to fire off emails right left and centre and finally someone promised me they would arrive by royal mail the day of the show. THEY DID. I couldnt believe it. But I think I was lucky - they obviously dont have any special sources they just see if any tickets come availabe - if they do great - if they dont then tough. Be warned though, I paid £95 each for 4 tickets for the best seats in the house but when they came they were the cheapest you can get. But at least I got to see the show which is more than most by all accounts. Anyway dont use this company as it certainly isnt good for your health or your bank balance!

I have bought tickets with this company for the Strictly Come Dancing show tomorrow. I smelt a rat three weeks ago after I had not recieved my tickets four weeks after ordering them and I first found this website. The telephone numbers on their website just ring until they cut off and nobody would reply to my emails. Finally I got a reply and was told that the tickets would be delivered 3 - 5 days before the show, today I have still not received anything. I sent three further emails today getting one reply that said there had been a delay and either the tickets would be sent to me for tomorrow or they would be available at Wembley Arena, I asked for written confirmation that tickets in my name would be available guaranteed but I failed to get a response (both of the emails I was sent seemed to be standard emails that could be sent to anybody as there was no recognition of my name or my specific enquiry). Finally tonight I found a mobile number for them which somebody had posted on this website. I rang it and to my suprise it was answered. I explained my situation to a woman who was rude and nasty and was told that I would have to pick up the tickets from 77 Oxford Street. The tickets were sold with the guarantee that they would be posted to me or sent to the arena box office. I did not want to go into the centre of London to get tickets from a place that I wasn't even certain would have the tickets and from the sound of the people I spoke to on the phone I wouldn't want to be in a room with them incase they turned nasty. When I said that I couldn't pick the tickets up they said there wasn't another option and refused my suggestion of them sending the tickets via courier to the arena. At this point the woman on the phone said she was annoyed with me and said she would not give me the tickets and would give me a refund (I will see if this actually happens) and then slammed the phone down on me. Luckily tickets are still available from more reliable sources and I have purchased new tickets. Don't trust this company!

I did buy tickets from london ticket shop for LINKEN PARK and yes mine turned up a week before!!!!, the concert was amazing and I would use them again.

what people do need to remember when reading these comments is more people will write a bad comment about how rubbish something was than they will if it was good, just take that into account when you make your mind up.

london ticket shop Thanks I had a great time!!!

When Spice Girl tickets went on sale in October 2007 at the M.E.N Arena Manchester i went onto ticketmaster hoping to buy three tickets for myself and my two daughters. After being unsuccessful in obtaining any tickets i went on to Google in order to find another website selling the tickets and found Londonticketshop.com where i was able to purchase three tickets for over £300. I recieved a confirmation email giving details which included the tickets being recieved by post 3-5 days prior to the event. Since booking the tickets i have seen numerous negative comments on various review websites including blaggers.com. All these reviews appeared negative all coming up with the sam problem of no tickets and no refunds. I then emailed the company who unknown at the time are trading in hungary. I recieved no reply to my email and the day before the concert (23/1/08) i emailed a more threatning letter in order to get noticed stating that i would seek futher advice if i was not going to recieve anything or even a refund. When i later returned to the terms and conditions page on the website i found that they had changed and now said that they researved the rightto provide people with tickets at the event venue on the event day which was not stated when i purchased the tickets. The after (24/01/08) i recieved a phone call from a women saying that i would have to pick the tickets from the venue or I could recieve a full refund in 14days which i accepted but highly doubted i would recieve this as so many other people clame not to have. When i asked what proof they could give me that i would get the refund they just simply said that i could always claim it back off my credit card, which i found to be unacceptable. I therefore believe that it is about time this rogue company should be shut down and taken off search engines such as google as they are nothing but ticket touts. Hopefully i shall be recieving a refund from my credit card company but people who paid by debit card are unfortunetly not as lucky.

REPORT THEM TO WATCHDOG!!!!

 rachel88 at 24th Jan 2008, 09:49PM
For those who missed the end of Watchdog yesterday, they said that next week the Spice Girls will be helping them to do a feature on ticket touts.
I hope that this feature will include this company, it's about time they were exposed on TV!

 richt at 24th Jan 2008, 12:22PM
It is now 6 o clock and the spice girls concert starts in an hour. To no suprise 5 of my housemates and I are sat at home on our sofa.

Where do i start! Monday i sent an email as there were no tickets to be seen. They emailed back to say they 'promise' they will be with us in 24hours.
24 Hours no tickets- we phone over 20 times and send more emails. Concerned the tickets might arrive the morning of the show my mum works from home to make sure we dont miss the post. No tickets. By 2 o clock today we give up hope. However at 3.30pm I recieve an email saying to ring chris. We do but with no reply and his phone is then turned off. I then get a voicemail from a guy called Blake (who is v rude but answers the phone- 07948319596) who we phone. He answers. It is now 5.30 and the concert starts in 2 hours he offers us tickets but considering we were more than 2 hours away we said impossible and they offered a refund, which we took. Whether we will see this refund i do not know and sadly i didnt pay by credit card. :-(
