Advantage Loans offer a really simple service. We find the best loan, at the best APR, with the loan amount closest to what an applicant is looking for, based on the applicant's individual circumstances. We cannot ever guarantee the APR or the amount of the loan that will be made because that is ultimately down to lenders.

Because we are completely independent we charge a flat one-off fee for our service. This is necessary because we receive nothing at all from lenders.

No broker that doesn't charge a fee can ever promise to find the best loan for you, or say that they can choose from any UK lender. Brokers of this type are working for a particular lender, not for their applicants.

Most importantly if you are not happy with the loan which we have found for you you can get a refund straight away, simply by emailing me at james.benamor@postnet.uk.com

well i was indeed taken in by these people...very misleading they were..they managed to wip my £49.50 out of my account in seconds and all they were interested in when i rang was 'i see on our system you still owe us the fee' those were the first words out of there mouths each time, anyway i requested a refund telling them they were omitting to tell the customers some important info namely that a third party was required to quarrantee the loan and that they were'nt the primary lendor but they had a company called flm who would definately loan me the money.... by that time i'd had enough..i felt i was going around in circles...i am still waiting for my refund 5 days later and still recieving texts and paperwork and phone calls from them...something should be done about these people.

Oh dear me, wish i'd found this site before I paid £49.95 to advantage. The woman on the phone was delighted that she had found me a loan (and so was I at the time) I was a bit peeved at giving my card details and alarm bells started to ring (afterwards!). I asked for £2000 over 3 years, so i'll undoubtedly be offered £3000 and need a gaurantor. thankfully it seems they do refund if your unhappy. so thanks for the address!!! i'll probably need it!!!

I recently fell for advantage loans, i got offered a £7500 so I stupidly paid my money only to get a couple of letters one from a company only offering my £3000, after reading all these comments i quickly emailed them asking for my £50 back that i paid, here is hoping i get my refund

 Nickys77 at 2nd Apr 2008, 06:50PM
I had contacted this company for £5000 and the same thing happened to me. They got me a loan for £3000 with conditions like a guarantor. This is not whay they promised they could "definitley" get me. Only after that did I see this site! But I did contact them via the email address given here and they are now returning my money. Thanks for the advice.

 Lassie at 14th Mar 2008, 06:32PM

I have been contacted by this company for a loan and was told that i was accepted and was told that I have to pay a fee of £49.50, I was quite happy because I was in a desperate situation. About two days later I received a loan acceptance from FLM with a very high APR. It was quite shocking to me that they require a guarantor which acts as a form of security. The loan offer was suppose to be unsecured. And the number of documents which they require is absolutely unnecessary. I email James Benamor and requested that my money be refunded, which was done within 24 hours of my email. Please guys be very careful of this company.

I've just been reading the comments below and i have a question that i hope someone can help me with.
I applied for a loan through YES loans, they wrote back to me and said i'd been accepted for a 3k loan through FLM loans.
I have the guarantor & all the other paperwork they have asked for, which has all been sent off to them. My questions is, will i get my loan as i do have a guarantor etc etc.

 taj123 at 7th Feb 2008, 02:06PM
I wish i'd seen this site before I applied for a loan with these guys. Every word is true. I feel like such a mug. I went for a loan for £6000 over 5 Years and was told that they could help. Id been guaranteed a loan and all i had to do was pay the admin fee of £49.50. I paid it..DOH! What was I thinking...I got my paper work through for a £3000 Loan over 3 years and I also needed a guarantor! I cant get a guarantor...Why else would I be going to a broker? £3000 isnt enough for what i needed. I wanted to consolidate, not pay off half my bills and have this bill replace them.I really thought they could help me. Ive emailed james.benamor@rgroup.co.uk and told him of my distress. I want my money back or the loan I was promised. I hope that I can report back to you with good news. Ill keep you posted...

have had the same kind of problems as most other people on here so i used the email address provided and sent my complaint yesterday. i received an email from james benamour this morning informing me i would be getting a full refund within 5 working days, so thankyou to james, i still would learn from my mistake tho and never pay an upfront fee as all you seem to get from a lot of these companies is hassle, which when you are in a finacial fix is the last thing you need. i will wait my five days to see if my money is returned.

well i am the latest fool to believe what has been said to me, i hold my hands up! this company tells people anything but their prayers. I was told i was provisionally accepted for loan, paper work will come in post, this was after paying them the fee of 50 quid. Yep as i said im the lastest fool! i really dont get why these companys play people about, we try to get credit to put ourselves in better situation and they take a fee that puts us in an even worse situation, then they just fob you off. Is it any wonder we have no trust in people and companies! i have read a couple of comments that people have said they got a loan from a company who didnt want a fee, i have yet to come across any company who does that and boy would landing a loan really help me so come on you lot get some info wrote down here for me plzzzzzzz

Theres no need to go to the courts, just email the head of the company James Benamor at james.benamor@postnet.uk.com and request a refund directly, like he says to do in previous posts. I have to say he is true to his word as after i emailed him explaining that i was unhappy with the so called "service", i received my full payment back in my bank account within 3 days.

 Trojan75 at 31st Aug 2007, 11:15PM
I couldnt be happier i found this site.. i had a bit of trouble gettin my email through to james email address due to spam alert! but i found his proper email address - james.benamor@rgroup.co.uk at the bottom of the spam filter alert and re-emailed. an hour later, an email from him and then from customer services stating a refund would be given for the services i received , or didnt receive so to speak. However, fair play to james, i like to see management taking a concern in customer service issues.

moneys supposed to be wired to my a/c within 72 hours! we'll see though .. ;o)

Wow, I am posting to confirm that advantage loan was very helpful in sorting the problem and my email to James took less than one hour to get a response and I have my money refunded. Thank you James!!! Even though I was not happy of the service I am more than pleased with the outcome and everyone who is not happy should ask for the money back, the lady who processed the refund name is Cheryl Dinkin and she was very polite and helpful.

Good luck everyone

Iam so annoyed that I did not check the web before applying to advantage loan, at least that page would have helped me. my story similar to the above, yes yes off course guaranteed a loan, I even asked if I was guaranteed the 5k I asked for, the guy who did the application assured me I was guaranteed and even told me you can ask for more if you want!! I said 5k is fine but got letter today for 3k with different repayment figure and asking for guarantor!!! Hello if I can get a guarantor would I come to broker to get a loan!!! I have emailed James and hopefully I can get my refund.

 hur575 at 21st Jun 2007, 11:13AM
yay..just to say that £49.50 did go back into my account. Thank you James Benamor.

 kellygirly80 at 14th Jun 2007, 02:33PM
I left an e-mail late last night to james benamor explaining that i wanted my refund back of £49.50, and i was surprised when customer services of advantage loans rang me at 11.30 today saying that they are sorry for the inconvenience and my money will be refunded today but will take up to 72 hours to clear in my account. fingers crossed eh...hopefully it will clear, aslong as they have put it back into my account!!!!
