we phoned for aloan and told them we wanted to take it out over a 12 month period,we initially wanted 1500 quid,so they took the 69 quid, and we thought happy days the money will be in in the bank in a few days and thats it...not such.
we had a form come from them which stated we wanted to take it out over a 3 years period, and we needed a guarantor,we wasnt told this when we asked for the loan,so we phoned them. We was on the phone on a friday night for 2 hours and they cut us off by 8pm,so we tried on the saturday and after 3 and a half hours of waiting i managed to speak to someone, none the less i landed up swearing at him and shouting as he just kept saying ill transfer you to the customer care dept, which doesnt exist. When we finally got someone on the phone after that,it was a girl, who went on to tell to us that it wasnt them we took the loan out with, they passed our details to a third party company without us knowing and now we have to deal with them, this company isnt to be trusted, they take your money and thats it,and their after care service is non existent, and if they dont like what your saying they simply hang up on you.... need reporting to the FSA and trading standards.

oh no. guys all thes negative comments are making me mega worried. i have just contacted them yesterday and got a text to say i had been accepted and to call them asap.

i called them this evening when i got home from work and was please when the guy told me i had been accepted although a bit surprised that he said i had been accepted by two companies and i was going to get a short term loan from payday uk.

now without even thinking about it i have paid a £69.50 brokers fee and have commited myself to a £300 loan for which i will need to pay back £375.

if this goes the same way as all these other comments, this is going to ruin me. what should i do? should i wait it out and hope for the best or should i try to cancel this £69.50 fee and see if there is anyway i can cancel this £300 loan?

the £300 is due to go into my bank tomorrow.

please tell me someone has had a good experience with this company. if they are doing this to people then how can they get away with it. surely it is illegal?

Worst experience of my life!!!

I've recently bought a new home and had about 6 searches on my credit file in the process so I knew my file was looking a bit bleak. I contacted Yes Loans for a quote to consolodate a couple of credit cards and a an existing loan.

They congratulated me and confirmed my application had been successful and then they tried to sell me a payday loan for £300 at over 1000% APR!!!!! I kept telling the guy that I was not interested and he kept going and going, I eventually got a little shirty with him and told him NO NOT INTERESTED, he then transferred me to his senior loan manager to confirm my details who then put me through to his colleague, a seperate company it turned out called MoneyWorries. I was a little confused as to what was going on and asked why I had been passed to a debt consolidation company as I was not having any problems making my repayments but wanted to re-finance and save on some interest, she put the phone down.

I have spent approx 8 hours in the last 2 days trying to get through to yes loans to get my £69.50 back and to instruct them to remove any of my details from the system.

I've also been bombarded with emails / texts and phone calls from Payday UK who I feel are almost harrassing me and I'm veru concerned that they too have all of my personal information without my concent.

How can the FSA allow this company to operate?

Con artists, damn right disgrace and should be stopped!

What a disgrace this company is, i applied for a loan on a website, 2o mins later I was being called by a company I believed to be the company I approached, when I asked if this was carloans4u they told me it was one of their subsidary firms, only when I get the paper work for Yes loans do I relaise they have lied to me copmpletly and got me to hand over the £69 admin charge, How can this be legal?I must have spent over 3 hours now waiting for customer services to pick up..I want my money back!!!!!

yes loans have treated me like every elsethey take £69 out of your bank then you dont hear anything else because you cannot get through speak to anybody i am fuming.

 vera oxford at 13th Jul 2010, 10:50AM
This company is an absolute disgrace and the local Trading Standards as well as the OFT should be looking at them NOW.

They pester you again and again with availability of loan, send you a form to sign, but take your £69.50 immediately.

.....and that is about it!

"Customer Service" department must be manned by one person, because you'll never get through to them are kept on hold and being charged 10p per minute for the privelage. It was only because of this site I discovered there is an 0800 number to New Enquiries which, surprise surprise, is answered within half a dozen rings, they will put you through to "Customer services" but he is still busy and after an hour I gave up again.

DO NOT USE THEM

Boring, I know - but I'm yet another victim of this company. Paid my brokers fee ( £69.50 )two weeks ago & still no loan offer. Have been contacted several times by Yes Loans sales personnel, but once they are informed of the actual situation one of two things happen - you are "cut off" or you are transferred to "Customer Service" (longest wait so far 43 minutes) and then you are cut off. I will be taking this company to the small claims court.

i wished i had seen this site before i got intouch with yes loans. they took out £69.50 out of my account without authorization. i did,nt go ahead with the loan, but when i tried ringing them up i was shocked to hear how they treated you over the phone, if they don,t like what you are saying they cut you off, they put you through to customer care which is a joke. (don,t think it exists). you are then put on hold i waited 10 minutes, i hung up rang back, cut off, rang back was on hold for 20 minutes, rang back cut off about three times in a row, the last time i tried i was hold for about 25minutes. i have got a few ideas from this site to try and get my money back. wish me luck!!, i think i,m gonna need it.

Like most of you I have fallen into the same trap, I have rang my bank to see if they could stop the payment but they couldnt it had already been taken,,,, they did however tell me to ring back tomorrow to speak to the fraud squad, not sure if they can help but will let you know if I get anywhere! 3 hours on and off the phone tonight spoke to 3 different people who all were rude and just said they would pass me to another department and then I got left on hold again so gave up and tried the bank who were lovely and at least guided me to someone who may be able to help. Will keep you posted! Something has to be done about this company .... what about the trading standards people has anyone tried them?

 Colette1958 at 29th Jun 2010, 06:56PM
i rang for a first time loan and have never been spoken to like the 'assistant' did at this so called fiendly loan company.
they tried to take a charge out of my account and as i said no she bullied me saying do you want me to spell it out to you we are taking it out of your account and other things like can you hear me or are you stupid because i feel like i am not getting anywhere with you. after i explained this was my first time i have applied for anything like this i got huffed at down the phone. i thought her phone mannor was absolutly discusting!! i have never been spoken to by someone that at the end of the day wants my custom in such a rude and derogatry way!
i was on hold for 45 minutes after she humg up on me to get through to head office to make sure my details had been wiped and no payment had been taken from my account.
i was absolutly discusted with this company and think the staff need training on phone manor and mabye just general manors!!!

 rayrayallen at 25th Jun 2010, 12:14PM
Looks like i have been done as well, applied online with yes loans for £10k to be told it was accepted in principle and to ring them - which i did, the guy went through all my incomings outgoings, asked for bank details etc said my application had been accepted and to process it i would need to pay £69.50 to proceed, as the loan was accepted done this on my partners card, was then put through to his "manager" to approve and validate the application, the manager approved it and then transferred me to a financial advisor - was repeating information to them when i realised i was talking to another company - Money Worries where i spoke to Sean Lewis, he went through the application taking more details - i thought i was still arranging the loan, he then said that all he could offer me was debt consildation - i only have 2 outstanding loans which i pay fine, i wanted the loan to pay them off and my overdraft, i asked him what they were going to do about my overdraft - he said i needed to open another account with a different bank and take as much money as possible from my current one and then start from scratch, he then was saying how i could chose as suits what payments i wanted to pay back that i needed to pay £30 right then to show commitment! I said i couldn't do that as i had alrady paid £69.50 they said that that was to Yes Loans and they will transfer the money from them as part of my first payment, they said the £30 would be split over my first 2 repayments, for June & July, they told me to cancel my DD's for the loan and credit card and they would handle the rest, felt frogmarched into making a descion and when i asked any questions they just sounded as though it was the simplest thing in the world! After putting the phone down i went through the figures i wrote down and it worked out that they weren't helping with the overdraft and fee's which is what i wanted and i would be paying more over a longer period than what i currently do! Rang back on the number i was given and was on hold for about 20 minutes, eventually got through to a Mandy who told me she would email Sean - i also emailed him asking him not to take any money and refund the £69.50 as i was cancelling, hadn't heard anything and after reading all of these, know i can't let the subject drop, have been on hold to Yes Loans for 40 minutes got through gave my details and am stil on hold...

In the meantime also spoke to Money Worries again spoke to an Eloise who told me the £69.50 was non refundable as it was transferred from Yes Loans for their fee - i told her that was outrageous and i wanted the money back - i had not taken the service and was allowed a refund, she said it was my choice to transfer the money and that it was non refundable i said i had no choice and it wasn't explined that it would then be non refundable quoted http://www.oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2009/85-09 to her and asked to speak to her manager or supervisor she told me no one was available and they were in meetings but she would email them! Also to save your phone bills Yes Loans have a call back service online put your number in there and then they phone you back. Wish i had looked on here first! Normally i am carefull but was so pleased to have been accepted.

I agree - I don't see the need to pay an upfront fee to get a loan out. Trouble is there don't seem to be many about that don't charge but I found a couple. Central Credit do loans for Homeowners and Guarantor Loans Online do loans for Tenants (although as you probably guessed from the title they do need a Guarantor for the Tenant ones!).

 bb2008 at 5th May 2010, 07:08AM
Not a happy chappy, atall. Spent a ridiculous amount of time on the phone to yes loans, and what a suprise i was accepted. Luckily i said i would pay the charge at a later date after id been paid, as i hear most of you arent getting that back. I applied for an unsecured loan of £3000 over 4 years, Yes i was "accepted" with yes loans. Eventually they found a company that would loan me the money, only to find i need a guarantee person to back up my loan. Whats the point i might of well asked for a secured loan. Dont waste your time people.

 bilbobaggins2010 at 22nd Mar 2010, 10:18AM
please-please-please do not apply for a loan from this company,i had been inundated to calls and txts in regard a £4000 loan,i called up and told that i had been approved i only had to pay £69.50 to get the loan paperwork,so i agreed, only to them be put through to car finance company?,when i told them that i did not want car finance,i wanted the loan that had been agreed i was told to phone back.............which i did and was on hold for 35 mins,no call back,no chance of getting money back, need to write to them,v bad attitude,i was told that i was being slanderous and that the are not registered by the f.s.a and that they can record my call but i cant record theres, absolute shockers, hope they get done one day so they realise.

 markyboyhill2010 at 10th Mar 2010, 06:05PM
i have applied for a loan with yes loans and was told i need to pay a £69.50 fee to 'process'the loan to which i refused as i havent ever had to pay a fee to process a loan i was told by their customer care line that all loan companies charge a fee even the high street banks when i said they dont the person got very argumentative to which i explained i work for barclays and have worked for hbos in the loans department and have applied for loans elswhere like welcome finance they dont charge for this to which he said yes they do i have seen the documents and thats why welcome finance have gone bust this is false dont take their word for it dont give them the money no loan company charges a fee to apply with them dont accept it as they cant take the money from your account if u have refused point blank as it states when u ring that all call are recorded so if u do have the money takin from ur account and you have refused they need to put it back asap. u can get the call and all notes they have on you as data protection says all companies that hold information on you must send it out by law although u may need to pay a small fee this should be refunded once the complaint has been sorted. i know this to be true as i was told by the complaints manager where i work . i hope this helps alot. i have also copied this from their website Fees
10. We charge a fee for providing the service of acting as a finance broker. We specify the fee as part of our communications with You. Here's what I've been doing after being sent a text by Yes Loans suggesting that I had made an application for a loan, which I had not, and that I could get a call back. So, I texted back 'yes', not long after I received a call, I asked the caller when precisely I had made my loan application, to which, there was no reply, I then asked for my number and anything else to be wiped from thier system, I was put on hold, for 15 minutes, clearly no one was going to deal with me so I hung up. So I texted back for a call back, this happened within 10 minutes at which point I asked them to hang on, and left the phone on the side while I got some wood in, it seemed they were still there after 10 minutes at which point I cut them off. This is extremely good sport and took a couple of days for the penny to drop. if they want to conjure up a fictitious loan application and waste my time then my god I'm going to waste thiers!
