i have been with ems now for just over a year and found them superb to be with.
The staff are very friendly and helpful and seem to know what they are talking about not like some companies i know!
The value for money is excellent, hence why i have re-newed my contract for a further year.
i am more than happy with my company website and glad i went with such a helpful company who are confident and great at what they do!
Thanks ems-Sean

easy money shambles , watch your account as ems have a funny way of just taking aload of money out whenever they please , no warnings given and for no service provided . If you or i did this we would end up in jail. We paid one small fee over a year ago and were told that it was a one off payment until £349 was taken from our account. I have instructed a solicitor and am dealing with trading standards . When is somebody going to do something about this company it seems that what they do best has nothing to do with internet services . Dealing with this company is awful and i have heard so many excuses from them it is unbeleivable. What goes around comes around . I will get my refund however i have to...

Cor, I wish I'd read this blag PRIOR to giving money to EMS. Oct 2007 I paid and still in APR 2008 I've still not got my web site running.
The MD is never in-on holiday - not in office....etc I'll be off to trading standards myself. Calls never returned my phone bill to them must be massive. Dont even reply to emails. Customer services - DONT EXIST.

I have been with this company for over 3years and always had fantastic service. As for the comments below everything is renewable on a yearly basis not only do they tell you this its states it in the terms and on the website!

Just a post-script to my long story of woe (below). I DID get my annual fee for search engine submission etc. refunded in full. It took a phone call every week to Vicki (Accounts) in which she claimed that my cancelled Debit Card authority put me in dispute and no refund could take place until I was 'out of dispute' otherwise EMS would be charged twice. I had to wait until Vicki received a statement from EMS banking agent to show that I was no longer in dispute. She never knew when this magic statement would arrive! Well - fight fire with fire. I was finally reduced to completely losing my temper and threatening the small claims court, the police and the consumer page of The Guardian unless the money was paid into my account in 48
hours. It arrived the next morning. It took 3 months to reach me after EMS had sent me a letter agreeing to a refund. Good luck to everyone else. Once bitten...

EMS - Easy Money Sharks -yes I got caught too. Small businesses are their prey, innocence (ignorance) about the mysterious workings of the net their tool. They are out there just waiting for your pretty new web-pages to lie unnoticed in the ether -you're bound to call them and ask for help. And so their noose slips over your head. There's a package to help you and the nice sales person calls you back at a time of your choosing. You agree that submission of your key words each month into search engines PLUS a free of charge Tracker (how very decent of them) would boost your hits. You give your credit card number for a £499 package and wait and wait and wait. Nothing happens at all. Meanwhile (being both desperate and now a little less wet round the ears about the web workings , you personally pay for links into your website from other .coms offering spaces for similar businesses (bed and breakfast). This costs you about £100 and you discover from your Free of Charge Tracker that ALL your business for the next year comes this way. What about the Monthly Search Engine submissions? I'm afraid they didn't exist. Six months into the contract I complain that there's no evidence via Tracker of success on their part. Simon (an ephemeral employee but nice) investigates. He does ring back and reads out a list of gobbledy-gook key words that I never gave them and some brainless office joker has plonked into something. e.g tea trays, quiet, lane . Would you use these and such to find a B B? He finds my own list but six months have passed in ga-ga-land. I get nothing more than a promised 'note' on my file. I determine not to renew. I go away for 10 days to discover the Renewal Notification had arrived and I was given 7 days to cancel. I check my bank account and -yes, you've got it in one, the money's taken. I ring and am stone-walled at every turn. I read the conditions. I am within my rights to cancel. I write -no acknowledgement. I send a registered letter - silence. I contact the press. I get a phone call from the managing director of EMS but I'm not in to take it and then he's away... The story doesn't end here, but how it will end who knows? Wouldn't it be hunky-dory if EMS did the noble thing and gave back what they had stolen. Thank you EMS for making me web-wise. PS Watch out for uFindus- similar tactics)

I deal with Ems Internet for just over a year, they made their standing order form in such a way as to make it as unnoticable as possible that the payment was an annual standing order. I realised this before the end of the year and write to my bank asking for it to be cancelled. I wanted to cancel due to the lack of results i was acheiving with the online store i bought. The standing order money was taken for the second year and then i spend months going from my bank and back to EMS to establish who's problem it was.
the issue is still ongoing and in the mean time i am working with WSI (www.wsisolidsites.com), who i am happy with both pricing and results wise

Thank you for making me aware of ems internet. I was dealing with them for my website. Website great but sold me package which guaranteed no 1 listing of all search engines and monthly search engine submission. The telpehone call took place on a friday and by monday afternoon i was promised the phone would start ringing. lies lies lies. After telephone them i was told it would take 3 months and not 4 days for all search engines to reconize me. Decided to give them a chance but 9 months later and lots of phone calls decided to cancel my website and watch this space because i having something up my sleeve which will give me a full refund.

EMS internet. lies, lies, lies. I was dealing with them to design my website. Very good considering all they did was copy what i wanted and i even included the pictures! Anyway after about 3 months i rang ems internet and not understanding how the internet works i wanted to be noticed. Sold me this package on the friday dinnertime and said by Monday morning i would be guaranteed no 1 listing on google etc. It did not happen. When i rang the following week to complain the sales staff said that it would take 3 months to be noticed. Got very upset and decided to give it time. Lots of phone calls etc and now having read all these complints, it is time to do something about it. Already done step 1 and thats closed my website down so ems internet can not get anymore money from me. Anyone washing to contact me about ems please email me at
helen@evertonhouse.wanadoo.co.uk
Please need your help to shut this company down!!

 EVERTONHOUSE at 2nd Jan 2007, 07:26PM
Firstly would like to thank you all for making aware of EMS internet. I was dealing with them for their costly marketing package which guaranteed no 1 listing under natural listings on Google etc. What a load of B@~##@ks, supposedly the salesman selling this product does not work for EMS internet although he is based there, sells on behalf and I had a meeting with him there, not once until just now was I told he isn't an employee and shouldn't be selling such a package. This seems a good ploy for when things go wrong as they try to distance themselves from any wrong doing.
All dealing are now going through my solicitors and should hopefully have them in court v.soon. If anyone who hjas had a similar dealing with them would like to support this case or offer their dealing as proof of their wrong doings please contact me as they will be greatfully received.
Message to others STAY CLEAR, message to EMS who have obviously left their own comments, what goes around comes around, can't wait til you get yours.

Please see information under Ems Internet Ltd to join other people who have made complaints about this company and are getting trading standards involved.

 squalid at 16th Nov 2006, 12:22PM
unfortunatley there are complaints about Ems Internet LTD and a search by company will show you them.

 squalid at 16th Nov 2006, 12:20PM
i suppose that it is just a coincidence that suddenly 3 'happy' customers have stumbled on this site and then left comments.

Note to Ems - Must try harder

 squalid at 16th Nov 2006, 12:18PM
why are people being so mean to a company that has true values and high moral standards when it comes to customer service i will always recomend there services.

 treetree at 14th Nov 2006, 04:20PM
i think they are fab with great sites dp

 treetree at 9th Nov 2006, 12:06PM
The best course of action is to approach Lancashire Trading Standards direct. Dont go through the consumer side of trading standards. It is most likely you would be considered a business and so consumer direct would not be the best route.

The trading standards dept has already got a file of complaints about EMS internet. Make sure your compaint is there when they bring criminal charges.

mick_northwest

where are your contact details ? and why havent you used your full name ? Oh i know - its because you work for this company.

Never mind, trading standards are coming...

My run in with Ems was not so costly as some of the complaints listed here but i spose thats because i got onto them straight away.I was approached by a friendly girl called Joanne who told me i could have everything i asked for, for the price quoted. They used the old goverment funding trick too and to be fair i swallowed it and signed up straight away so i could get the deal.....since then it went quiet until they could ignore no more, then they went on to say i needed a further package to get the site i wanted at a cost of £499. I am now in the process of asking for a refund but so far am getting no joy. My advice is to stay away from them cos they actually get quite rude. I would happily support any action against them. albermoose@blueyonder.co.uk.

My case is almost identical as patsy07 i took a website with these confidence trixters for £850 vat. I was then offered what was supposedly an amazing addition to my website in the shape of £5,000 worth of domain names i was told they got over 100,000 hits a year and i was guarenteed number 1 on google. Meaning the business generated would be unlimited but i had to buy them immediatly "THE CLASSIC TAKEAWAY CLOSE". I have since been told it is impossible to guarantee number 1 position on google and that i must have got confused. I was patronised by ems internet sales people telling me i never prommised number 1 position but if you pay £3500 for a custom built website we can speed it up for you to get there quickly if not it can take upto 9 months yet again the "THE CLASSIC TAKEAWAY CLOSE" you must buy now because normally its £10,000 but someones just cancelled and lost his deposit. I finally saw through this unscrupulous bunch and declined this offer. 6 months later i cannot find these domain names on google i got to page 20 and then gave up. My website, my domain names, my google overture and my pay per clicks costing over £8,000 in total have so far not registered a single sale, email or telephone enquiry. Somewhat different to what the slick sales people prommised. The phrase value for money does not apply here. I am currently liasing with TRADING STANDARDS, I aim to contact WATCHDOG, WHICH MAGAZINE AND WHOVER ELSE I CAN THINK OF DONT LET THEM GET THEIR EVIL CLAWS IN YOU.

 unhappy frog at 14th Aug 2006, 02:39PM
why is it that people leave messages on this site but but dont have the balls to leave thier names?

 mick_northwest at 11th Aug 2006, 01:10PM
I was contacted by this company two years ago. The sales staff told me a hugh pack of lies about internet sites receiving government funding. They then sold me an ecommerce site for £3400.00. This turned out to be a template they purchased for about £200.00. They continued to contact me and sell me things that they said were needed to make the site better. Many of these things have never been added to the site. The site could have been better designed by a ten year old child. I contacted the managing director with my complaints, of which there were many. Even after this I continued to get sales calls offering me things that were on 'special offer' and VERY necessary for my site.
I have paid over £11,000.00 to this company and learnt a very hard lesson.
to other people contacted by them, please dont make my mistake by listening to their sales pitch.
