If you belive these comments who look and sound like this fool has done a good job then you need to sit and think?? Do your home work on this joker!!! Don't get spun with your pants down like my freind and other users on here and every other customer. Google his company, his name, check him out with trade standards, look at the man himself on rouge traders...do not buy from this man!!! If a deal sounds too good to be true, it always is. Pay the price, don't pay twice!!!

kitchens

We took this company to the Small Claims Court. We were advised to use the wording "Alan Ford T/A Kitchens" to sue the actual individual as its all too easy for an individual to fold a company whereas if you go after them personally you are more likely to get your money. Apparently Alan Ford had been on TV for all sorts of fraudulant things! Anyway, surprise surprise, they didnt turn up at court so in their absence the judge ordered them to pay us £1700. They didnt pay. We instructed baliffs. They went and said that they could not retrieve anything from the address as nothing there belonged to Alan Ford, it belonged to Vance Miller!! We're not letting them get away with this but for gods sake DONT ORDER A KITCHEN FROM ANY COMPANY WHERE YOU CANT GO AND SEE IT IN SITU. PAY CHEAP, PAY TWICE

I bought a kitchen from this company. Items were damaged and the granite worktop did not arrive at the same time as the kitchen. As I had parted with all the funds in the form of a bankers draft when the kitchen was delivered, I was very upset when my granite arrived. Not knew, not wrapped, very scratched, chipped, colour differences all over it (when it was supposed to be black). I also complainted about chipboard carcases instead of real wood as promised. The doors were also supposed to be solid wood but they were not completely solid, only part and the rest ply with a laminate oak look. After letters back and forward, I finally got the granite picked up but have not received a replacement. I was promised phone calls back but nothing has happened. We are now having to used makeshift ply wood until our worktop arrives. If i do not receive this worktop within the next 10 working days, I am going to apply to Money claim on line (really easy to do) this is an application to the small claims court. Although there is a small fee, you will get this back!

If Kitchens wish to put right the situation, please contact me immediately.

I purchased a Kitchen from "kitchens" and paid £200 deposit..The kitchen duly arrived on the 23rd August ,but with various items missing. After around 50 phone calls ,and many brush offs by their very rude staff ,I am still without my full kitchen..Wrong drawers .no door fronts(They are enroute fron China since last September)I called Oldham trading standards and I am now in the process of talking to the citizens advice in Edinburgh and they are advising me about what and how to claim my rights ..

I had the misfortune to receive a flyer advertising a company that had had an order cancelled by one of the large diy stores, I believe it claimed Focus, or Homebase.
I then made the mistake of persuading my ex wife to buy from them instead of somewhere like Ikea, obviously, these comments come from hindsight, we were yet to find just how bad the kitchen would be.
My ex ordered from Maple a fitted kitchen, paid for in full, as they were the terms of doing business with Maple.
It arrived on a dark, rainy evening, and had to be stored in the garage, with no chance of checking the delivery, all we got was " Heres your order" and the delivery man left.
Upon checking, there were numerous things missing, such as doors, drawers and runners, and more smaller bits. Plus, much of the glass in the doors was smashed.
She employed a professional kitchen fitter to install it, and work commenced, except at the end of the first day of trying to put the kitchen together, the fitter said it was an almost impossibe task to make anything fit! Eventually, myself and a colleague, after many alterations and modifications to just about everything, managed to literally make a silk purse out of a sows ear.
I understand that Maple, or one of the pseudonyms the company use, are still trading.
I would suggest you buy elsewhere, and remember the saying that if something looks too good to be true (their apparent "discount") it probably is. PS All through our experience, we had the Office Of Fair Trading involved, and yet somehow Maple still manage to trade.

Looks like Kitchens has had their legs slapped for advertising ex-display kitchens at a knock-down price which they do not stock.

Be warned dont use this company or you will pay the price,of being very annoyed, and very stressed. !!
I have had so much problem with this pathetic company I wouldnt know where to begin, numerous calls, numerous delivery dates, numerous delivery dates for missing parts, fobbed off by staff, lied too by staff, all to no avail,
So Vance I'm glad I kept back some money!so now I can get the rest of my kitchen from a reputable kitchen company. like MFI....

Sorry for all you people who have had problems, but back in May 2007 we contacted Kitchens to have our kitchen surveyed and a new kitchen was ordered for delivery in August. I was dismayed to see Watchdog and spent a few months trembling in anticipation of what I would receive. My husband (a keen DIYer) started to fit the kitchen and what a fantastic kitchen I have at a fraction of the cost. Yes, there were 2 items that I was short of, being 1 shelf and 4 wall hanging brackets, (quite good when you think of how many items have to be "picked" for a whole new kitchen), but these were received within a very short time after a telephone call. Staff we spoke to were always very polite and courteous, even ringing back to find out if everything was okay and were we pleased with our purchase. Are we pleased ? well what can I say only repeat another comment that I read "a champagne kitchen for lemonade money". The quality is better than other leading kitchen retailers, I don't think Vance's kitchen will fall apart anytime soon. I would certainly give 10 "thumbs up".

sent this email yesterday to kitchens PR - we'll see if we get a response ! At the end of a long saga using this company. Here is email with regard to salemen selling things that they should not & usual lack of replies (after 3 times asking for this to be resolved, no calls and 30 minute waits on premium phone lines for the average call):
I am about to log on to Blagger.com. The salesman included in my list of items to be supplied a BT griddle that fits on the Baumatic cooker i ordered. the planner's boss, Ray, has been informed of this (3 times) & I have heard Becky of customer sales tell Farruck that unless he supplies the griddle he'll loose a job. Basically your planner sold something to me that you do not supply. It has always been left that he should contact me - of course he has not (he has to pay for this item himself after all, & get it to me).

I have asked that Ray call me at least - I think kitchens need to follow up on there supposed commitment to ensure that their kitchen planners supply what has been listed for delivery & indeed to stop their planners selling things or including items that kitchens do not sell.

Please reply a.s.a.p

well I found this site after I placed an order.
placed an order on the 31/08/07 got hassle then in regards to when I wanted it deliverled. I agreed to a date 10 sep 07 and was told it would be delivered sometime in the day we both took a days holiday and guess what after very poor and missleading customer services it turns up after 8pm.(you try checking things in the dark)
However I was one drawer and a cuboard down driver and the person he got in contact with agreed delivery would be WEDS 12 SEP 07 (i was doubtfull as I had just read blagger but agreed on the firm condition it would happen if not then take it all back), after they left I checked the extractor as the box stated made in u.k the hob stated Germany and the hob italy..I wanted black and got gold silver and black cooker, hog etc I rang kicthens who stated due to the need to change the cooker units unable to deliver until Sat (check Blagger) now things starting to look bad however agreed, this time for some reason ? only the wife took a days leave I rang from work at about 5pm on Sat where is the order reply " sorry new driver I cannot get in touch as he has no phone but it is on its way" so wife stays at home I get home at 21:30 guess what NO DELIVERLY I final get hold of someone on MONDAY 17 SEP 07 and they tell me we will not give you a deliverly date JOIN THE QUEUE I then say that is not acceptable I had been understanding up to now they are now in breech of the contract, I wanted a date and one sooner than later as we have no kitchen and I would like their supervisor to ring me at home this afternoon with a date their reply "that will not happen" so this is still on going however I am now very Upset and I will carry on with the correct steps ? unless someone rings up with a confirmed date which is in a reasonable time no score yet

Just to say that i'd got a kithchen from this company and noticed the bad feedback and thought i'd made a big mistake buying the kitchen, but i'd only find out when i get it fitted to see if the company is that bad.Now the kithchen is fitted, its excellent, perfect and the service i got prior to delivery was good too.. really don't know what all the fuss is about.some folk need to get a life and give the company a break... thanks bobby workington

I have just had my kitchen delivered and I was impressed with the sales guy who worked out a excellent plan, it was delivered 2 weeks later as promised. The units were well made and look a million dollars!!I needed another length of cornice and rang customer service to order and this was sent out 2 weeks later F.O.C. So I am delighted with Kitchens and would recommend to my friends.

I am writing this blag today in hope that a represenrative from 'Kitchens' will actually listen. My parents, recently put their trust into a representative from this company.

My parents are good honest people who now find themselves in a terrible situation. They have been left with a kitchen that is not correct due to the mis-calculations of a sales rep who visted their home. Now with help from family and neighbours they are now slowly coming to terms with the fact they are going to be out of pocket and we are trying to raise the money to pay for other workmen to come in to rectify/replace work tops and correct the kitchen, so it can re-assemble the kitchen they paid for.

They have no cooker, no hob , and no means of cooking. No fridge, missing units, missing doors, damaged materials and a kitchen which does not match the agreed specification, agreed with the rep. There are other issues which I feel must also be addressed but would prefer to do this in person.

I have tried to speak to the customer services manager, Kelly Jones, as I have been informed she is the only person who can authorise anything within your company but to date she continues to ignore my calls.

My parents who are in their sixties have just relocated from Yorkshire to be near myself due to illness, it was supposed to be a fresh start but due to this has turned into a nightmare. My father has parkinsons and due to the upset of all this, hasn't been able to speak properly for 3 days. He just sits shacking in his chair and blames himself for all the problems caused by your company and its representative. In addition, 2 weeks ago I was diagnosed with MS and we are all trying to come to terms with that too. My parents don't need anymore stress in their lives, nor do I. And they certainly can't afford the additional costs they are now having to find.

I have managed to organise some replacement units with your company but they are still left without any facilitities on which to cook......no good for 2 pensioners who have neither the money nor facilities to eat out everynight. Not one person form your company has apologised or shown any concern for the position they have placed my parents in and I have been shocked by the way I have been spoken to by your staff. The customer service department, is neither customer friendly or a service.

I hope you read this email and take the issues I have raised seriously. This has had a massive impact on their health and it will take my dad months to overcome the knock-on effect this has had on his parkinsons.

I would really like to discuss the contents of this email in a calm and adult manner with either Mr Miller or a representative from your company you has got the authority to get things moving.

Thank you

hi

i puchased a kitchen in april and had 2 delivery, 1st lot of units which were differnt colour carcasses and plinth and cornices and then the 2nd in may which was the washer dryer, i had kitchen fitted last month an washer dryer by registered plumber. the washer dryer is leaking from the bottom and a loud racket coming from inside the machine whilst in use, i have rang kitchens who dont want to take responsability and told me to ring this other number who do not know the make of it as i have gave them all the serial numbers on the back of the washer dryer, when i had the planner come out he said that it would be a baumatic make, clearly it was not and have again been mislead. i hope you can rectify this
