Unsurprisingly, I've never worked for the Welsh Observer. Perhaps you can post the website address for your 'company' Tasha? Surely you must have one if you are as successful as you say you are?
I was contacted this morning by someone from the Welsh Observer asking me to advertise. I said that I have never seen or heard of the Welsh Observer, she said, "With respect Sir, I've never heard of your company either" then hung up!! I couldn't believe the cheek, she was the one who phoned me!!! The Welsh Observer must be a trick. If it isn't, tell me where I can pick up a copy.
I can assure you I have never worked for the Welsh Observer, I have a proper job, and have had for the last 23 years. Perhaps you would like to supply us with a list names and addresses of businesses who have advertised in the current edition of the publication, so we can independently verify your claims. Also, please supply the names and addresses of places we can obtain a copy of the current edition.
If your claims you make about the Welsh Observer are true, you should have no trouble furnishing this information.
How dare you Tasha! I have NEVER worked for, nor will I ever work for the Welsh Observer, thank you very much!! And if the publication is so fantastic and widely produced you won't mind sending a copy to me, will you? I've yet to see any proof that it actually exists!
The Welsh Observer is a very popular publication. That is why there are hundreds of satisfied customers placing repeat advertisment and recommending The Welsh Observer to future businesses.
It is one of the best publications I have seen in a long time. Any bad comments made are utter Rubbish. They do not know what they are talking about. It is packed full of local business people like myself and expanding each time I read the publication. Do your business a favour and try The Welsh Observer. You will be very happy indeed.
The Welsh Observer is a very highly respected publication. The comments made below, are from Ex employees. They are Ex employees for a reason.
There are many many very happy, satisfied customers getting a fantastic response from The Welsh Observer.
The Welsh Observer is an excellent way to advertise your business. The staff are very helpful and know the market place. The prices are very competitive. I strongly recommend that you Ignore any adverse comments that you read.
The previous comments were made by 2 members of staff who were dismissed by the Welsh Observer, and by no means should be taken seroiusly. The Welsh Observer is a fantastic medium for advertising. The staff are very, very professional. The paper is well established and very popular indeed. All of the clients always get a fantastic response. That is why they advertise again and again.
I think I've been had too. I booked a quarter page display advert recently after a salesman canvassed me. I have never seen a copy of the newspaper either, they said it was for South Wales and would be widely distributed throughout the counties. I've also have asked for a copy to be sent to me and the line goes dead on me too. There is no proof that their publications actually exist.
I think we should report them to the Trading Standards and the Newspaper Society if they keep giving us the brush off.
I wonder if anyone could provide a link to the website of the Welsh Observer? Surely it is inconceivable that such a publication would not have one - unless of course the Welsh Observer is another shady operation along the lines of JPC?
I would love to see the IP addresses of the positive comments - no doubt they have all come from the same computer.
Please give the names and addresses of the garage, supermarket and restaurant that you allege you saw this publication - I'm visiting Cardiff soon, I'll pop in and pick up a copy.
P.S Why do all the userids who've left postive comments about this publication all seem to have a either 2 or 3 number suffix???
I was contacted by a very polite young lady offering me late space in a life style publication called Welsh Observer. The rate that was offered was very good so I desided to try it. I am very glad I did. The response has been fantastic, it really has. Since advertising with the Welsh Observer I have seen it everywhere. In my local garage, supermarket even my favourite restaurant. I can not believe I did not try it before. I have now booked a series of 4 adverts and was given an unbelievable rate. I have been in business for 7 years, and I can see that the Welsh Observer will be part of my marketing budget from now on. Thank you so much for contacting me.Cardiff.
I have been a business owner for 15 years. I have advertised in many publications. However, The Welsh Observer is by far the best I have come across. The service is second to none. The rates are excellent. The staff could not do enough to help you. I have had a fantastic response . Far better than I had ever expected. As a result I will be advertising with The Welsh Observer for a very long time to come. Do your company a favour and advfertise with The Welsh Observer to promote your business.

Searching on google for 'Welsh Observer' brings no hits that are related to a newspaper, journal or any other sort of publication of the same name, other than to references on this site itself. Further, having both family and friends based in South Wales, they have confirmed that they know of no such publication. Try contacting W.H Smith in Cardiff, Newport, Swansea, etc, and ask them if you can place a regular order for the 'Welsh Observer', and see what response you get. For those that are claiming this publication exists, perhaps you can provide the dates this year it has been published, the publication date of the next issue, and where this publication can be purchased. Perhaps they would also like to tell us how we can contact the Welsh Observer - a newspaper that has no way of being contacted by potential advertisers isn't going to stay in business very long.
The Welsh Observer is an excellent publication and well worth advertising with. Their rates are very competitive and their staff totally professional. Kitty21 is very much mistaken in every respect. I have recommended The Welsh Observer to several of my business associates, three of which have advertised with The Welsh Observer and are more pleased with how they have been treated. I will continue to support The Welsh Observer as I can not find any fault with it. Simon .Swansea
I recently placed a half page advertisment with The Welsh Observer. The person I spoke to was very helpful. The Response we received was excellent. Which led us to place a series of ads for the rest of the year. I would recommend this paper as a very good way of promoting your business. D Lloyd. West Wales
I was contacted by a sales person from Welsh Observer offering my company late space. I can only say that she was very helpful and extremly professional indeed. She took a lot of time to help and advise me about my advertisment, which I was very pleased with.On receiving a copy of the paper, we had a fantastic response, and would not hesitate to use the Welsh Observer again.R Reynolds.South Wales.
I own a company in the south Wales area and was contacted by this newspaper on a number of occasions, each time was shortly after placing an advertisement in my local newspaper. I have offered last minute discounted rates to advertise, which they would lift from the other newspaper.
I have never seen a copy of the newspaper that is said to be distributed throughout the south Wales area, and upon asking for a copy to be sent, I have been hung up on..... If this isn't a sign of a dodgy company, I don't know what is.
The sales staff are rude, distribution is exaggerated, if not made up and they are surely breaking all copyright laws.
I urge you, as a business owner, do not advertise with this company until you have seen proof of their existence because all I have found so far are details on blagger.com , which I’m glad I did!
Sorry if I sound rude, but 'Kitty21' should probably get her facts straight before she spreads incorrect rumours about the Welsh Observer. The newspaper DOES exist and is actually rather good. It has only ever given fair prices when quoting me advertising space and has been more then satisfying in response every time. Not a blagger at all.
If the words "Welsh Observer" are EVER mentioned to you, you can rest assured that you are being fleeced for all you have. This company and true Blaggers and deserve their place on this website.
They will tell you how they have "late space" available for a "discounted rate", which is a total lie as they have NO advertisers to begin with; and this is for good reason! The so called "newspaper" DOES NOT even EXIST!
I urge anyone contacted by this company to stay well away.
