Dont do business with South East Advertiser, eat the biscuits and say no, no longer has the mail box address. I know Trading Standards Croydon are looking into him. I have only seen the paper once, remember say no Mark and Lisa.

Same here for me, started a new business, got a call from some bloke, turned up with the biscuits and blagged £275 for 6 months worth of advertising. I've not received a copy of the magazine, and certainly no leads, and when I try to contact them on the number on the invoice 020 8686 1817 it's not valid. The company address is a mailbox company in Croydon so I'm not expecting to ever get what I paid for. As for the comments by dangermouse300, I would like to do just that, any advice on getting in touch with them?

I too have been ripped off by this sleaze. He had the cheek to enter our house a week before christmas, we were a new small business, and we had a month old baby, ...he still took the money off us and ran. I have left several messages for him but no reply. After taking half the money by cheque we have never heard from him since. This man has no morals or business intentions. DO NOT GIVE HIM YOUR MONEY! ....I just wish i had seen this before we did. I am currently speaking with our bank and authorities who are investigating. Be warned - steer clear!

I have to say that after a great deal of trouble Mark did send me a refund and the cheque cleared. I really hope that he has been able to get himself up and running again.

I too have done business with this company and have had no problems. I think this is all a bit silly and I will have to let the company know about the last comment so why don't you act like a business man and just ask for a refund.

BEWARE THE BISCUIT AND CHOCOLATE MAN
The biscuit or chocolate man as he is called is not worth referring to by name. I have lost money which is hard earned and have seen no results in form of a paper. I was fortunately left with a paper from last year and have phoned a number of the people in there and they have all lost money in some shape or form.
I saw him way back in November and he has done nothing that was asked of him. I have no alternative than try and take him to court for breach of contract. But there is very little chance of success but I will not give in.

Feedback:I have arranged a meeting with the MD of 'The South East Advertiser' who seems to have tricked four people out of hard earned cash (including me) according to your site. If you are able to contact these people and forward my telephone no I would be very happy for them to attend the meeting.

I have been done by this trickster week before christmas, luckily I only gave him a quarter of the payment, but still gutted I'm a small business I have learnt a valuable lesson don't do business with him.

He pulled the same biscuit trick on us! Must say well worked out con and once you've paid up, you will not hear from him again. Definetely a forgery, watch out for him and don't give him money!

Beware of men carrying biscuits! This guy sells you advertising with more slime than the history of "It's a knockout" and tales of tens of thousands of paper in circulation. In fact, nobody has ever seen or heard of it. My view is that there may be 200-300 printed and thrown in the corner of half a dozen petrol stations so you never get any calls. My advice would be to only advertise in publications you know, where an independent audit of the circulation is available, and most importnantly that they are going directly through doors - not being left in garages, libraries, or the local recycling area for people to pick up. Good scam - but rumbled.
