...and whatever they used to afix their 'serviced by' sticker on my windscreen should carry an industrial warning.. while i am sure that they appreciate quality motors.... this quality motor will not whore itself out as a free mobile advertising billboard...
for convenience purposes, took my beloved motor for a quick bi-annual engine service to the garage a couple of squares away. cleared a fixed price prior to the work be undertaken only to find upon settling that 'parts' were exclusive. upon challenging this and also the extortionate number of extra hours charged with the receptionist (a rather bejewelled late-aged posh lady more akin to the social circles of W1 charity events), the 'chief' mechanic came to appease my rationale and calm opposition. this guy must have held his free bus pass for at least 30 years and moved with such a velocity that he would be guaranteed the bronze medal in the infamous 14:25 tortoise/hare derby. the upshot is.... if you have cash to burn and a conscience to help the aged maintain their platinum lifestyle -> go there.... if not.. go elsewhere.... quod erat demonstratum....
