| Coldseal Group | Since Coldseal have melted I've been contacted by 3 window companies who mysterily obtained all my details - even my personal Mobile number, which is what they rang!!?? The companies who rang me so far are: Window & Conservatory Ideas, WindowQuoter (or something like that) and SafeStyle UK!? I've also had 2 flyers posted directly to my house - 1 from Zenith Staybrite and 1 from another company (can't remember their name)!? How the hell are they getting my details? Has anyone else had similar contact? It's obvious the ex.Coldseal b*****ds are making even more money from us lot by selling the order book details to a number of other companies!! Are any of these companies linked and/or owned by the ex.Coldseal clan!? When I questioned the people from W&C Ideas the guy claimed to know nothing about Coldseal going under???? Yeah mate, and the Pope's an atheist! Is there anything I can do legally to stop them ringing my personal mobile - apart from the torrents of abuse I'm currently giving them (great therapy by the way)!? Steve |
| Coldseal Windows | richardkelseyuk - I signed my contract on 23/10/04. Surveyor came round on 29/10/04. Read 'Blagger' comments and rang Coldseal Liquidators for confirmation on 01/11/04. Sent out 'Notice of Cancellation' in writing, by Special Delivery, to First National and Coldseal on 02/11/04. You CAN cancel IN WRITING and I did it just to be safe. daniel - ta for the Redditch address. Probably an empty shell now but at least my letter will get delivered somewhere (you can't get depot addresses from anywhere on the net). I'd already sent one to Head Office in Alfreton). amaylor - keep the van! If they owe you money and you have proof sell it! Surely the van can be taken as payment in lieu of wages owed! Better get it checked with a solicitor and/or Citizens Advice office first though because it's very obvious this crowd know the law better than most lawyers (or at least the loop-holes)! At the very least get them to collect it (and put a wheel-clamp on it to make sure YOU have control of the situation). kev64 - I rang First National (Customer Services) and had a chat to them. They were very understanding and helpful to me but my contract wasn't underway - I just managed to cancel it in time. However, they may be able to offer you some advice too. Failing that, the Citizens Advice Bureau are good. help@hand - I already have Coldseal windows fitted upstairs in my house (they were fitted 2 years ago and I had massive hassle even then). I only went back to Coldseal because I wanted to match the downstairs windows with the upstairs ones now that my downstairs building work is complete. However, now that option has 'liquidised' do you know of a company (or yourself maybe) that can supply identical windows to the Coldseal ones (i.e. same prophile, fittings, georgian bars, dummy vents etc)? I still need windows & doors fitted and I still want them to look the same so do you know of a GOOD, RELIABLE, TRUSTWORTHY company who get their frames made by the same company that supplied Coldseal? Or did Coldseal do everything in-house? Your help would be much appreciated. |
