Gardening Express  Order number: 396800673 placed on 09/04/2008 - still no goods received despite them being available all year. Gardening Express don't answer their 'support tickets'or their telephone. I will also be reporting them to watchdog.

Royal Mail  Utter trash. I have had a pretty bad experience with these guys which will cost me money, all because the do not keep a record of tracking numbers. I sold an item on eBay in mid january 2008 and it arrived with the buyer within 2 days, excellent i thought, he signed for it, and left me positive feedback. Now at the beginning of may 2008 he has issued a chrgback for the item, saying it was unauthorised use of his card. I have asked royal mail if i can get the tracking number as i have the address where it was sent from, where it went and when i sent it. I have been told no, we do not keep a record of the tracking number so we can not help. Without this vital piece of info i am going to be out of pocket as i need it to prove it went to his actual address and it was he who signed for it. If anyone can help that would be great.

paid this company £200 deposit cash for a £2000 kitchen. They have failed to honour their contract with me.This is a company who sets itself the lowest of standards and consistently fails to achieve them. Please log your grievance with trading standards as it will help with putting an end to this.no company should be paid or ask for a cash deposit as it cannot be traced.i`m now tracking the agent who took my money and will submit a blog at a later date. The virus of rock solid has spread to northern ireland.

Bodysourceonline.co.uk  I'm a rugby player, love weight-lifting and keeping fit, therefore, I order supplements throughout the year. I constantly look for websites that offer good prices... I came across BodySourceOnline.

The website was great, the prices were very good, and they even had online chat to speak to someone at the company... so I ordered (Thursday night - 1st May 2008).

Next morning I received an email saying that my order has gone through and because I paid extra for nextday delivery, I can expect my order to arrive on Saturday 3rd May before 1pm.

Saturday came and went, no delivery. The online Tracking System only said that my order has been placed... not dispatched. So on Sunday I emailed via the online email form. Monday was Bank Holiday, so I wasn't expecting a reply until Tuesday. No reply on Tuesday, still no delivery, so I emailed again.

Wednesday, still no delivery and no email reply. Can only find 0800 0015150 as a telephone number, but it doesn't work.

Thursday my delivery comes! A week late. They took my money out last Friday so I was afraid they'd done a runner, so I'm just glad it's arrived now. Then I open the box... wrong flavour, even though the invoice says the correct flavour :( And I absolutely hate Fruit Punch! I know I could send back, but it's taken a week for these to arrive! By the time I send these back and wait for the correct order I will have been 3 weeks without supplements.

I go online to chat to a customer services person, but they don't want to listen and advise sending an email. I explain that I've sent 2 emails already with no reply after 7 days (they say they will repond with 24 hours!!!). Now there's no answer from the online person... typical. So I send an email... AGAIN. Not expecting a reply though :(

Basically, I've ordered from loads of companies online for supplements, and this one is the worst. I'll be going back to JM Nurition I think (found on ebay).

Like a few peole have mentioned here, it's all well and good giving good low prices, but I'd rather pay a bit more and ACTUALLY receive my items on time and the correct flavour!!!

Wonder if I'll get a reply from the MD now???

I won't be recommending this site to my teammates.

Feel free.

Ufindus  I won't go into details about the problems we have been experiencing with Ufindus - very similar to what other people have wrote (pushy sales staff, misleading information, uninterested customer services, etc.)

I just thought it was worth mentioning that i sent an e-mail to Graham Armstrong (after seeing his name on this website) and he called me back within a couple of days - he was very helpful and sorted out my grievances on the spot - although i still wish we would have just said 'NO' to advertising with them in the first place, he has made the rest of the contract more managable for us.

I give Ufindus a thumbs down but i would give Graham Armstrong a big thumbs up.

Backdropsource  Be careful. The products are best described as average but the customer service is non-existant. I was sent the wrong item and it took ages to get it swapped - they did not beleive I had the wrong item despite quoting the part numbers. The promised to refund the postage for sending the wrong good back - but they never kept their promise. Very shoddy!

Anglian Windows  Please think twice before using Anglian! You will have a headache from the minute they will phone you!

Just last year i asked for a "Supply Only" quote for 5 windows to which they said "no problem". But i was forced to let Anglian salesman to come round my house to take window measurements as my ones apparently are no good and i might made a mistake. Once at my house he was very surprised when i mentioned i want "Supply Only" and kept pressuring me to go with installation which he promised will be almost same price as supply only.....£4500.... for 5 smallish windows!? [Direct from factory my all 5 windows came up to £1150 with VAT and delivery] . After 1 hour of negotiation & DVD movie about how good Anglian company is, price went down to £2500, but he kept pressuring me to sign a deal right away if i wanted to get this price. When i said no, he didn't leave me alone, he went to his car to bring sample window and started to tell me how good is the glass and other materials used in their windows, i said i am not interested, but he kept going. Then he got out those "special" screws that only Anglian company uses in installing windows and doors, but he had to change the subject very quickly when i showed a bag of very same ones i got from B&Q when i was installing my back garden door... At the end of my 3 hour visit from Anglian i said no to them, how can you quote £4500 and 1 hour later you can do the same job at £2500!?

Rock Solid Kitchens / Kitchen  I just recieved a delivery from rock solid, I really cant see what peoples problems are. yes my delivery was not perfect, Im missing a strip of the underhanging that goes on my wall units, and a few handles. Initially I was quite angry about this but phoned their customer services who were polite and helpful and booke me a new delivery with my missing items almost immediatly.

will keep you all updated...

Rock Solid Kitchens  I have read through the comments on this site and would like to say that my experience has not been like that at all.

I bought a kitchen through rock solid a few months ago and could not be happier. maybe as the below poster says, I have got lucky, but with the quality of the kitchen i have recieved, i beg to differ. beautiful granite worktops and really stunning cupboards, it really couldnt be any better.

Uksource.com  I ordered a Samsung cable in March and received confirmation order number on 30.3.08. No money was taken from my account. After two weeks and many unanswered phone calls and emails . I gave up.On returning from holiday 6.5.08 I noticed money had been taken from my account on 30.4.08.I managed to contact Richard Hopleyby phone on 8.5.08. He is SICK IN BED WITH BROKEN RIBS FROM FALLING DOWNSTAIRS. He is aware of the problem and is in a mess at the moment.I sarcastically asked him if his illness had lasted over the last 6months or more as complaints had been recorded over this period of time.He said he could not use the computer to answer emails ,but I reminded him he was able to use the computer to respond to new orders so why not respond to emails and further more why not notify his bank to refrain from taking customers money until he was able to function again ,I heard all the excuses possible. He does have my goods but I want a refund. It took nearly 20 mins for him to tell me I had 2 choices,,, one was wait until he was up on his feet, or make a charge back from my bank card supplier. After a long discussion he has agreed to send me a cheque today I WAIT WITH BAITED BREATH.He informed me his website is now up and running and taking money from unsuspected customers but with little will to post the goods despite having a merchant bank Account with Nat West. This Guy has major problems with his health!!! and business My advice avoid but I am annoyed he is allowed to keep his website running and defrauding people out of their money.I reminded him of this and he voice was garbled, confused and when I suggested his behaviour was fraudulent he said it was merely "distance selling rules".
My advice is AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Customer Street  We have purchased 5 of these sites (yes, I know now) with big promises of page 1 Google rankings. We were promised that the sites would personalised with all our company logos to match our brochures and main website. We provided all this info twice. We specifically asked that everything be done in draft for compliance checking.
The sites went live straightaway. Quite frankly I could have produced better with my £100 Microsoft Front Page webwriting program. No company logos. Company name spelt wrong and I still can't get it changed which makes us in great danger of falling foul of Financial Services Authority.
Two of the sites spent about 4 or 5 weeks on page 1 of Google which was as promised. Now none of them are to be found anywhere which makes me worry that CS got them there with blackhat SEO. I'm very worried that will damage our main website rankings with Google which links from all our CS sites.
This is such a mess and it all sounded so plausible when they phoned and we really should have known better.
For all of you who are being offered a 4 page site for £1k - our main company, all singing site with over 60 pages is about to be revamped for £3k.
DONT touch with a barge pole! I'll let you know how I get on and will happily retract all the above if they come up trumps...

Protectacoat  This company is one of the most professional I know. They do what they say they will do which is to stop "pentrating damp" on any wall they apply the product to. They give a full 20 year guarantee on their work and product and in the main any house treated with the product is much better to look at when finished.

If you consider the cost and divide it by the guarantee period it works out to be very inexpensive indeed. Couple that with the increase in house prices over the same period of 20 years and you tell me a better investment in your property. You can't because there isn't one. People buy brand new cars, then immediately lose the VAT element (17.5%) and initial depreciation of at least 10%, you wouldn't really call that a sensible investment would you? No! It's all about your personal perception. I'd always rather invest in bricks and mortar, at least there is more than a fighting chance of a high return on my investment when I come to sell.

Also, how many builders do you know that will give a firm price for the job and explain exactly what they will be doing for the money and what materials will be used to do the job. Can they give a 20 year guarantee, obviously not because even with a brand new house you only get a 10 year guarantee which is supported by a building federation.

Finally, what does it matter if the salesman earns 20K or 200K year. You are reading this on a computer, the people who develop and sell these to the large chain stores probably earn considerably more, so, good luck to them. You bought yours for whatever need you wanted to satisfy, price wasn't an issue because you had a need. We're all born equal with exactly the same chances in life. Why knock those who go out and earn more than others. As one contributor said earlier, if you don't want the product after hearing all about it, then say so, the salesman is there to assist you to make a decision one way or the other. In the end choice is always yours.

Don't decide just on price, look at all the potential benefits, damp free walls, warmer living environment, return on investment, low maintenance, 20 year guarantee period.

Spaseekers.com  Appalling company. Ordered a spa gift with them which never arrived even though they charged my credit card £105.
Ignored all my emails and letters and could not contact them by phone.
Am now taking them to the small claims court to recoup the money. Their managing director Jason Goldberg then calls me (funny as this was only after they received the court claim).
Astonished to find that he basically just called to insult me saying 'I just crawl back under the stone that I came from'. How is that for customer service? So not only to they steal £105 of me they then phone and give me abusive insults. He also threatened me saying he will charge me £100 an hour for dealing with my complaint if it goes to court.
This man is horrible and his company is a disgrace.
And also despite his threats the court case remains and I will delight in making this idiot look a fool in court.
Therefore avoid www.spaseekers.com at all costs.

React Fast  DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I got away with *only* losing £73 for the ten minutes it took the engineer to diagnose the problem.

I subsequently lost two days holiday waiting for the engineer and chasing for an update. Blaggers is absolutely the right word - from the usual - "he'll be there in an hour" to "his doctor has advised him not to work today" - I even had someone with a brummy accent claiming to be the engineer (who is a londoner). In the end, I gave up and cancelled the job.

I only wished I'd done some more investigation on the company before I made the mistake of going with them originally.

 AS08 at 7th May 2008, 12:54PM
Rose Garland  poor design adverts, very unproffessional nature on the phone, unwilling to respond to cancellation, unwilling to give me circulation figures or back issues, unwilling to give me more details about their company, very heavy handed nature. I would not recommend dealing with this company at all.

Rock Solid Kitchens  Rock Solid Kitchens/Kitchens Direct:
I have just read through a number of comments and I'm quite worried that I've paid the company for goods I haven't received. 'Kitchens Direct' were supposed to have delivered my kitchen one month ago and to date, I still haven't received all of the units. I've had to pay the kitchen fitter twice and have taken days off of work to receive the order, which hadn't even been loaded on a van for delivery!!! When it did eventually get loaded on, apparently the van broke down on it's journey??? Basically, it's a load of rubbish. How are companies allowed to trade like this and get away with it? They eagerly send someone round to measure up for you, take your deposit and don't bother to deliver what you've ordered. I am so angry and it's all holding up building works etc. I wish I had purchased a kitchen from a well-known company. I went on blagger before I ordered the kitchen and people had given good comments about this company. They either got lucky, or are lying!!

Amber Windows  Already an existing customer and very happy with everything. The fitters were very efficient, on time and left everything tidy

Expedia.com  If your booking is not messed up by Expedia you are fine, but if happens to be messed up like mine was it is a hell situation.

Arrived in New York in the middle of the night. In the hotel I booked (confirmed booking) there was no room. After 2 hours on the phone the Expedia agent relocated to another hotel; at my own expense. I was forced to pay out of pocket twice as much as I spent when I did the booking online. In the last 3 weeks I spoke to 10 different customer service representatives to be refunded. I was usually on hold for 30-40 minutes, because a "supervisor was in search". Never could talk with a supervisor... I sent the invoice of the hotel stay to prove how much I payed. They lost the fax. I sent it again, no trace of the fax again. It stunk because I got confirmation that the fax went through. I was promised phone calls regarding my refund. Guess how many times Expedia contacted me. Nada, zero. I want simply back my money, basically it is a theft and I will contact the police if nothing happens soon. What can we customers do? We do not chose Expedia and share our experience online. Hope it helped.

Vardis  Hey Worried!, did you sign anything at all to say use the advert cause if you didn't then your fine and dandy, just don't listen to them and ignore the letters as if they can't prove that you signed for the advert then they don't have a leg to stand on.

Read everything else on this site about Vardis and all of the other advertising companies and you'll be ok...
