Decided to give them a try for my business. I sent a special battery which is certified for use at sea and in oil rigs - actually Lloyds certified as tough enough for those conditons!... DHL did the pick up from me and before it reached the customer they'd....smashed it! Yes, something designed to withstand force 10 or more at sea they managed to break. Luckily DHL have £100 standard insurance... except when it's via Parcel2go when you only get £50.. so not only did I lose money on that, but had to pay for a replacement to my customer. Since DHL pay up to £100 as standard, makes you wonder where the other £50 goes doesn't it? You could pay extra, but it was considerable and after all, what could happen to something certified as safe at sea... ?! This was the first item I'd sent in my new business too, if Parcel2go had paid me the £100, even as goodwill bearing in mind I explained what a disaster it was for me as my first ever business sale (you can imagine how i felt), I'd have accepted accidents happen and put the thousands I've spent since & in the future with ParcelForce with parcel2go instead, so for the sake of £50 they've lost thousands off me alone. The customer told me that the guy who delivered it was not in a DHL uniform and was in a scruffy unmarked van, so it seems as if the service was subcontracted twice over... and so it's obvious that service is bound to fall down if that sort of thing is going on. Other parcels went uncollected on the right day and so on (HDNL). Needless to say i dont use Parcel2Go now. I pay more now, but my customers report good on time delivery and I get the same drivers, so build up a relationship and so far, they've been more careful with my parcels - it's worth the extra money when trying to save a few pounds can get you a really bad name if your customer does not understand it's not your fault thats the items are late/trashed or both!.
Now very shocked to see Parcel2go in emaiuls blatantly offering the chance to win an IPod if you put a ***good*** rating on here for them. That would completely destroy the credibility of this site if companies can openly get good writeups in effect by offering incentives. I hope blagger.com pick that up as it could ruin the whole point of people being able to rely on write-ups and make it an unreliable site, which would be a real shame. Incidentaly, I am posting a good report for Parcelforce, so this is balanced. NOTE, tried to post this as 4 stars but sytem won't allow it!

Parcel2go.com  Some of the comments left on this website are nonsense. I have nothing whatsoever to do with Parcel2go except for being a customer. Yes I have had things go wrong, as always happens with courier services. But and this is the important point, these guys get involved and sort things out.

I have had direct accounts with a number of couriers over the years and move a lot of parcels every week. My experience with dealing direct with the courier is far less than satisfactory. I am more than happy to have the cushion of Parcel2go in between. At least they give a damn and do something to help. That's worth the extra few pennies I pay.

Plus I don't get some under pressure rep calling me to say I didn't hit my 600 parcel target this month so my account might be reviewed.

I am happy with these guys, no pressure, good support and the extra I pay is nothing in comparison to better service they give.

I am not in business to have to chase couriers all day, I let P2G do this for me. Just like I pay warehousemen to deal with my stock. I can't do it all myself so delegation is the solution and I am more than happy to delegate to P2G.

Countryside Software  London based gun dealer we have been a client of countryside software for over a year, using the RFD solution, we have never had any issues with it and found it to be both reliable and with excellent backup from the company, we have already ordered the epos system to go with the RFD for next year after speaking to several other countryside customers regarding the product, they even offered me the chance to hold back some payments until I was 100% happy with the epos when doing the deal, a company with software issues would not do this if they did not have confidence in there products. This is not a company to avoid but to embrace as they are good for the trade, worringly im not sure they want to stay in it, i hope so.

Onlinesearches.info  Not happy within the hour after signing up. Wish I had done a search about them first! Sent an e-mail straight away to helpine@... that has rec'd no replies since the first e-mail sent on 18/8/10 same day as purchase asking for a refund. If you have paid by card recently contact your card provider and they can start a claim back for not providing the promised service - giving it a go anyway - worth a try!

Transview Double Glazing Alloa  On the 19th August 2010, i was made aware by a member of my staff who was notified by one of our many satisfied customers that they had read two articles on a website called Blagger.com and that they were detrimental towards my company "Transview Scotland Ltd."

Having studied both articles, it is my opinion that it may be possible that both these articles have been written by the same person and it may also be possible that this person may well be a competitor in the same market as ourselves.
As a hands on Managing Director i take it very personally when someone writes an article such as this. Transview Scotland Ltd is a hardworking and honest organisation with a good reputation, which in the last five years has achieved numerous goals such as a Quality Standard Award in ISO 9001, which is totally customer focused on service delivery, and independantly monitored and audited. We have tried and tested methods of Customer Satisfaction reports that all customers receive and we have achieved over 90% positive results in our installations. We are of course aware that sometimes things to go wrong and we are totally committed to rectifying these with our customer's to their expected requirements.

On the other hand if you wanted to "put down a competitor" in a sales pitch how east it is with todays modern internet technology to point them to a blogging site and show them a possibly fictious blog. Infact if you really think about it, as a sales pitch is is very, very clever.

All that i would ask is that if people are reading this article about us and believe what is written to be true, then that's fine, but just ask yourself who pointed it out to you.

I, director's, Manager's and staff at Transview Scotland Ltd would like to thank all our loyal customers for their business and to all of those who have taken the time to recommend Transview Scotland Ltd to their friends and family and we look forward to providing you all with a service second none in the future.

Brian McMeechan
Managing Director
Transview Scotland Ltd

Kitchens Direct (part Of Moben)  OH how i wish we had read this site before we did business with these jokers.
I would be here all night if i detailed the problems with this companies product and total lack of customer service.
basically we suffered firstly a total lack of installation information, incorrect cupboard design, absolutley no customer support despite being promised that we had a project manager to contact at Manchester. He just didn't exist.
They never once rang back as promised, we had to constantly harass them until we eventually found a solution to the cupboard design problem which took about 2 months to resolve. Even then we have had to accept a poor design solution, but being so fed up we have accepted it.
If this stops one person from doing business with these jokers it will have been worth the effort of writing this review.

Advanced Hair Studios  I've been a client of Advanced Hair for over a decade. Back then, their expensive systems were very good but nowadays there are much better ones at a third of the price. Their salons are nice - note franchises. They have benefited by moving production to China but in my past orders, have sneaked in Asian hair - as I found myself with systems with a red-hue and impossible to style. They deny it but I'm looking for a way to test this. A challenge if AHS read this - do AHS guarantee to a compensation figure of £10000 that they have supplied a fine-haired caucasian with a system that was not 100% european hair??

DFS  PLEASE read this before you go an buy a sofa!!! from any sofa retailer- it will save you loads of headache should your sofa arrive faulty!
My experience relates to both DFS and Paul Simon who both do not like to tell their customers their entitlements under the sale of goods act.

We had faulty sofa's delivered twice and managed to get our money back , but we had to make a few phone calls and tell these companies that
we were rejecting the sofas. They tried to tell us it wasnt their "company policy" to do anything other than a repair but that doesnt matter. We just kept
spouting the same line and eventually they both accepted that we were entitled to a refund as the sofas were faulty.

In order for this to happen you MUST follow this guideline

When your sofa's are delivered inspect them while the drivers are there and if they are faulty in anyway no matter how minor sign the paperwork and write damaged on the paperwork.
Call the branch up and tell them you want a refund or an exchange. Dont be scared if they say its not their policy. They will want to send round a technican. Let the technician come BUT! make sure that he doesnt touch the sofa or repair it. If he does you can pretty much wave goodbye to your cash or a new sofa.

They will be annoyed you didnt let them repair it and insist thats all they do. At this point you need to repeat the line you would have done when you first called them "Under the sale of goods act I am rejecting the sofas etc etc".

Then you will get your money back.

If you are opting for a repair then make sure they pay you compensation for any inconvienice- again this is something they have to do under the sale of goods act.

These companies will not tell you your consumer rights and its not their job to. Read this and you wont lose out.

Comet  Pity I didn't read comments before buying from Comet. Purchased dishwasher x2 faults within 4 months, nil customer service from Comet, locally and from head office, only rudeness and inflexible company policies. Will NEVER buy from Comet again. At present following Consumer Direct advice in dealing with them.

Tulip Publishing  'F.G.D' have sent out another demand for payment. As with the previous, this will be ignored until Tulip can show that I agreed to something I didn't, and provide a copy of their non existent advert.

It seems madness that these fraudsters have been allowed to operate with impunity for years.

Weatherseal  I would warn all potential buyers of home improvements to stay clear of this company. As a now ex manager and reading comments on this site it is truly amazing that with there dodgy dealing how they continue to trade. Surely trading standards will be monitoring them? Seems they are not......

Halfords  I bought a footpump and left it in the boot of the car for emergency/occasional use. The first time I used it a few months after purchase was to blow up a small 8 inch tyre on boat launching trolley. The pump fell apart; the gauge fell off and rendered it useless. I returned it to Halfords in its original box in brand new condition (but not working). In was shocked when they refused a refund, offering only a replacement as i did not have the receipt. I pointed out that it was a Halfords own brand pump the same as the ones on sale but they were adamant, no receipt, no refund. Both the sales assistant and the manager would not budge, despite my protest that the pump was not fit for purpose and certainly not something I would want to depend on in an emergency. In my view this is really poor service.

Carcraft  I worked as Operations Manager for Carcraft for a grand total of 4 months before being unceremoniously fired with 5 minutes notice! So as such I feel no remorse at all in sharing with you some of Carcrafts practices so that you are prewarned on their behaviour.

When you first walk in thru the front door, expect to have a salesperson try to collar you into a presentation. This is a common sales tactic to gain control of you. if you try to walk away saying,'just looking' they will follow you around and continue with their pitch as if you hadnt said a word.

They will try to guide you to the cars they want to sell, those with the greatest profit margin or cars that have been there so long they have extra bonuses on them.

The price on the car is very often 3000 quid more than they bought it in for and they rarely give any real discount.

They take the deposit off you before putting the application for finance thru because you are less likely to walk away after 5/6 hours of waiting around. If they find you a 'sub-prime lender', the APR will be anywhere around 35% but if you turn it down they will tell you your deposit is non refundable - do not accept that because if they cannot provide you with the exact finance at the rate quoted and the payment quoted THEY are in breach of their side of contract and you are perfectly within your rights to get it back.
NEVER EVER pay a cash deposit! it would take months to get it back and usually in a form of a cheque.

Once you have signed up you are then passed onto the Finance and Insurance salesman whose job it is to sell you a completely worthless extended guarantee from its inhouse warranty department, NAC. the 5 year guarantee costs 1795 and i have heard salesman say that you had to have it cos the finance company insist on it! this is a blatant lie - it is optional and these salesmen earn stupid amounts of commission for selling these products. The F&I salesman in Newport has been investigated by teh FSA many times in the last 5 years due to his bullying and misleading sales tactics. As such the FSA has deregistered them completely now and they are unable to sell most of the insurances they used to.

You are offered a free 2 year warranty as standard when you buy a car, its not brilliant as it doesnt cover electrical faults which account for approx 80% of a modern car and you are limited to 300 quid per claim but if you shop about on the internet you can find very good warranties for a quarter of the cost!

This is the best bit..... Carcraft release a car to you before the finance company pays them for it so if you do find a problem on way home etc, ring the finance company immediately and cancel the finance. This way Carcraft have no other option but to take the vehicle back as you havent paid for it. Be wary though if your agreement is with Black Horse, Creation or Barclaycard as they can email all your proofs straight over for payout. They will do this if they feel the car is dodgy.

Also if you drive that car off lot without tax you are breaking the law! There is no grace period to get you home or cover you for weekends and bank holidays. they just want the car sold and gone before you change your mind. You are spending a large amount of money that you have worked very hard for, regardless if you buy with cash or on finance. DO not let anyone rush you into a decision if you are not 110% sure. Look about because you will always find a car similar out there. Dealerships tend to have more realistic pricing structures on their used stock whereas Carcraft charge the same for a 3 year old as you could actually buy brand new!!

Bear all of this in mind and one final note for you to consider. When you walk into Carcraft, they dont see you as a customer, they see you as a pound note! if they don't make 20k of PROFIT per month EACH, they don't get paid their commission and have their nice flashy company cars taken off them.

Use this info to your advantage and if you need any further advice email me on gillespiegirl69@aol.com

Premier Car Sales  hi there
I like to change my cars a lot and have only ever used PREMIER CARS; they've always been reliable and trusting. Always fixing any little niggles if they occurred. Would definitely recommend them to any one

La Fitness  Are you an ex-employee of LA Fitness who has recently been given notice and your job been taken over by an "in house" trainer? if so, they acting against the law and you can take them to an industrial tribunal. Even if you are a part time studio instructor (like me) they are not within their rights to dismiss you. Go to www.employmenttribunal.gov.uk, go to forms and download ET1. They are breaking the law and you will win. Good luck!

Mcrmotor Repairs  Ordered engine 14th July (£750), never arrived. They claimed it was sent back by courier. Since then on the rare occasions I've been able to contact them (08007797219) they've lied to me or laughed at me. They've been saying for 3 weeks a refund is on the way. I am now in touch with Trading Standards and my Bank who are helping me. Do not deal, you have been warned!

The Fuller CV  I got recommended Fuller CV by a colleague who had used them a few years ago. It seems as if they were once good but now are just there to rip you off. They charged me £300 to get my CV done professionally. Honestly it isn't even worth £3.30.
Fuller CV challenged me to apply using the CV and that they "knew and understood the market". After 200 applications not one interview. My old CV got my an interview every 20 or 30 applications! Fuller CV added further insult by writing me an appraisal to tell me why I had not been accepted for interview. This was the ultimate insult! they said "location" was the reason I was not getting an interview. The comic nature of that comment showed they didnt have a clue as all the applications said "CONTRACT ROLE"!
Honestly, even their advise is a waste of time. Get some advice from somebody who has experience working and finding jobs not from some pretenders who think they know what they are talking about.

 FullerCVBad at 24th Aug 2010, 11:14AM
Authorised Publications  I have been pestered by this company for over a year now, we were tricked into placing an ad last year in the CCG by them saying it was already booked by someone else, which it was not! they then repeated the ad without authorisation from us.
As per someone else’s comment, the print quality and production was not professional, they said it would go to all the surgeries, GP's, care homes etc etc we called a variety of establishments and none had heard of the.
I also have another call from someone who advertised with them asking my opinion as she was seeking legal advice on them!
I have put in numerous complaints and repeatedly asked them not to call out company, but still get at least one call a week! I would not advised anyone to book with them.
